Clicker Heroes - Browser based idle game

Is EDRing even worth it? My average run is about 45 minutes, when I hit Around floor 1200 (With Iris to 98, starting me at 100, and using candy after ascending to get started right away. I have every ancient except those that do not fit my build, (Juggernaut, fragsworth, bhaal, thusia, and the ones that increase the duration of abilities). Because of the DPS increase of siyalatas, (+6240% at level 380) and the gold increase of Libertas (+4290% at level 250) while being idle, using EDR basically causes me to stall out for 60 seconds, for a 10% boost that I can get far quicker than 60 seconds. If I EDR like before 600 or so I'll still have the DPS to insta-kill, but will be earning scraps compared to the gold earned while Idle. Plus you have to use skills twice to EDR again (8+6+9, wait 15min, 8+9, repeat) Maybe If I wanted to go for much much longer games? I just feel like it would actually better to ignore DRs for awhile.

It's worth it once you get Frags, Baal, and Juggernaut, when you can no longer advance by idling alone, and need active skills to advance. I can generally add about 100-200 levels to my run this way. In terms of heart soul farming however, it's better to ascend and be insta-killing again.

I have about 750,000 Souls sunk in ancients (Including Morg) and the furthest zone I've beaten is1405. I can only idle to about 1100 though.

Maybe you have a lot more HS spent in active ancients? I have about half your HS spent but I'm idling 1300+ and I got 1384 with an over-night push. And Even if I got those ancients, I'd honestly have to use an auto-clicker or something to make much use out of it, I can't continually click for that long (Have to go to the bathroom = f*cked)

It's just I don't play very efficiently lol. Sometimes I go for a week before ascending because I get busy.

honestly, getting over the 140 hump is the hardest part. Starts snowballing afterwards. Once you can start getting some respectable levels into solomon and max atman, hero souls are lelworthy

Protips:

1. Always, and I repeat ALWAYS ascend with a candy/pie/sandwich/whatever the clickable coin item du jour is. It will not disappear after ascending and you will be able to instantly redeem it, not breaking your idle.
2. Respec your ancients if you bought any crappy ones early. It could mean saving thousands of hero souls later. Your late game will thank you.
3. EDR stands for Energize + Dark Ritual + Reload. Don't do it unless you plan on afking the crap out of your game and ONLY if you have a maxed Vaagur.
4. The best* skill combo is 1-2-3-4-5-7-8-6-9(EDR) wait 15 mins 8-9-1-2-3-4-5-7 wait 15 mins, repeat.
5. Once you get going on hero souls and you have siya/lib to at least level oh let's say 15, you can start re-gilding heroes onto Treebeast, Ivan, Brittany, Masked Samurai, and Frostleaf. Obviously, you won't be using the pay 80 HS to pick your gild option. The expected hero soul cost of landing a random re-gild on one of these heroes is 10.4.
6. As you progress further, you can start focusing your gilds in on one hero (probably Masked Samurai). It has been suggested to start by focusing gilds on Treebeast since he's the fastest to get to level 1000, but re-gilding onto other heroes later will cost many hero souls.
7. Get Betty Clicker to 75 and King Midas to 75 asap. Obviously, buying their skills as you go.
8. For general play, get Frostleaf to 100, everyone else to 200 if you haven't already, then immediately start working on leveling up your most-gilded low-level character (that was listed above) in 25-level increments. In case you didn't already know, starting at (and including) level 200, your heroes get 4x DPS for every 25 levels, and 10x DPS on every 1000 levels (up to 3000). Because of this, your gilded lower-level characters can easily surpass a level 100 Frostleaf. (compare level 500 Frostleaf with 72x gilded level 2325 Masked Samurai). The difference is so great that the game thinks Samurai has 100.00% of total DPS.
9. Don't worry about Morghulis. Banking hero souls isn't something you want to get into early on. After you have a strong foundation of ancients, you can think about getting him, but just one EDR provides a greater boost than Morghulis does. I suggest you respec if you bought one early and have over 100 hero souls invested in him. You can spend 75 hero souls much better than you spent that 100.

Didn't know #1 there rushy. That would've rushed several dozen of my ascensions.

I'm more of a fan of using the dread knight rather than frostleaf at this point.

well of course, dread knight and atlas are much better gilds, but I doubt people that actually need tips can come remotely close to affording a dread.

Has anyone reached the final zone of hero clickers?

There is no final zone because they will just keep generating with higher and higher numbers.

I'd guess the around the point where you get Astraea to 4100 and can literally only progress farther with DR spamming or simply farming more HS, is about where the current logical "end" would be
Feel free to define the end for yourself though, that's part of the appeal of this kind of game

Last I remembered hearing was that it ended somewhere in the 4k zones because the boss literally has infinite health so you can't kill it.

Also I'm currently at level 2313 the DR stacking is real yay for Vaagur.

It's also worth noting that a small investment in the active ancients can have quite a big boost in getting and extra several bosses in before an ascention. I have baal at 200 and frags and 50, and my active damage is waaaay over idle (temporarily). The skill extending skills are really cheap too, by mid game anyways.

Edit:// My idle does 1.5^103 where my critical clicks are about 5^104, it's much quicker for me to use clickstorm and powersurge 90 seconds out of every 150 seconds than using idle by late game

I must play long enough to find out which Infinity is higher, my DPS or the monster's HP. (infinity happens at around 1e302 IIRC from overflowing shit in perl in the good ole days)

Yeah, I think Dora and Mimzee are pretty huge. After leveling them up I pushed from 200 to 250 in one run and so easily and my next run I'm pushing into the 300s. The amount of gold they give in combination with Libertas is huge.

Not sure where to head now though, there are a lot of options. This run is my first run where I'm netting over 100 souls so I'll have some flexibility. I think Mammon makes the most sense, but at some point I need solomon and atman.
