This is not the point of tokens. GOD. Play FFR because you like it and want to get better. Why can't you set that goal for yourself, why do people need a token shoved in front of their face to get better.

ONI is an elitist token. always has been. Your being blinded by the fact that you're good enough to basically AAA any of the FMO's. theres less than 1% of the ffr population that has ONI. It's elitist just by that standard alone.

Ok, FMO's didn't get easier, people got better. When the update was done originally, It was done correctly according to the standards of the time. VB, Sympathizer and BF were removed originally because they were too easy without avemisses.

Silence, however, has never had avemisses in it. It was originally a 13, then it got bumped down to a 12, now it's going to become essentially an 11. The song hasn't changed in its entire life in FFR, so why has it been downgraded?

The answer is because people have simply gotten better. The songs have always been the same difficulty, it's the skill level of the people that has risen.

AAAing any of the FMO's was hard when avemises were around.

AAAing the first revision of FMO's was hard after the first update because the skill level back then wasn't where it is today.

AAAing the new revision will be hard now because the skill levels of the players hasn't increased to the task yet. They will though and there will be another revision next year.

[Oni] was an elitist token and to a certain point it still is if you compare 400 members with the rest of the community. If you compare it with the members that say, they've AAAd 100 songs, statistics would be less dramtic. [Oni] isn't an elitist Skill Token anymore, like you said, due to an increase in skills from our members. That's where [EDIT] kicks in. Therefore, stop saying that it is. >=/

ONI wouldn't be getting updated if it wasn't meant to be an elitist token. Period.

[Oni]'s initial intent was to be an elite token. The update is to simply restore its difficulty of obtaining among the FMOs, an attempt at restoring its status of being an elitist token, BUT the status of being an elite player has changed. You're not considered being an elite player just because you can AAA an easy FMO.

I agree with you there, TODAY you're not considered an elite player if you AAA silence or LW4.

6 months ago though AAAing silence was a big deal

1 year ago, it was virtually unheard of.

2+ years ago it hadn't been done, and the file had been out for 2-3 years already.

and i remember sprite saying that if edit is accepted then the changes to oni wont be made and instead all fmo AAA's will unlock it

I think it makes more sense if you think of [Oni] being a token given out to those who are, at a given moment, in the top X percentile of ffr players. As the ffr playerbase gets better, oni's standards get more stringent.
