I like VII. It isn't the absolute best or anything but I enjoy the characters and setting. It's hard not to kneejerk either FFX or FFXV right now because I love X and I just finished XV. I know why people don't like XV but none of those complaints bothered me at all. I think VI is up in top 3 though. Quote:

I totally agree. I'm one of the rare ones who isn't crazy about FFVII. I think FFIV, FFV, and FFVI were all better than FFVII, and FFVIII is actually my fave <3

If I vote you enough times maybe it'll go away!
(I say as I keep that tab open to download later) Good stuff. You really can't go wrong with most anything Uematsu did past 1992. Are you saying FFIV is your favorite? |

FF5 is the best Final Fantasy.
This is coming from someone who has only played FFs 1-6 and has not touched the 3D ones. |

I....I couldn't do it.
It's on the list to replay because the fan theories make me want to see it through to the end, but I just couldn't. Junction is about the most boring shit I was ever asked of a game to do |

Obligatory AA OMGUS tier RVS because I'm Haku and Hakus are that strange and I feel like saying a Monte Carlo tier argument along the lines of "you didn't roll wolf since a long time ergo you have to be a wolf".
Fight me AA plz.

Re: TWG CLXIV: Classics Man - Game Thread
there are really charming things about FF7 imo, but it's more of an "impactful" game, rather than a "good" game, if you catch my drift
i.e. you can thank FF7 for RPGs being so prevalent in the west 6, 4, 10, and Tactics are my faves though personally |

Whatever you heard on the Internet about it singing it's praise... in the event you start playing it, please dismiss high expectations. FFVII is pretty fun, don't get me wrong, but please don't expect an amazing experience I guess, lol. |

though if we're talking about time investments, FF11 by a looooooooong shot, since it's an MMO
re-picked it up lately, and it's not the same, but still a lot of fun |
