Re: 2048
the 4096 doge pattern is the same as 1024 but w.e I'm still counting this as 4096 victory
gonna see how far I can get with this board (I think 8192 is possible given the extra room I had when I merged to make 4096) |

Re: 2048
went out for a bit, came back to this...rip the run (still think 8192 is possible without unlucky spawns)

Anyway, screwing around at work and I finally just got a win on the normal game (my first win was on doge lol). My tiles were all screwed up by the end, and I was able to repair it, getting the 2048 tile back where it needed to be, but by then I had too many high numbered tiles just floating around and I had nowhere to put them. Ended up with 24812 as a score. Getting this far, I think that it's possible on this 4x4 grid to build it up as high as 8192 if a person can just not get too many unlucky RNGs. I definitely think I could do 4096 if I try enough times.

Re: 2048
There's a few differences between the games, most notably that over twice as many inputs are required for Fibonacci compared to the original, and numbers can combine with two different boxes now (5 can go with either 3 or 8, 21 combines with 13 or 34, etc.). I agree that they're obviously two similar games with very similar strategies, but the second factor makes Fibonacci significantly easier for me by opening up more combination options when shit gets kinda tight.
