I put it up for the playoffs. But I've always been a Sens fan.

Re: 2014/15 NHL Playoff Pick'em
The Washington Capitals have eliminated the New York Islanders.
4/15 people guessed this outcome correctly. |

Re: 2014/15 NHL Playoff Pick'em
Only 4 people guessed the Caps would win? That's really surprising to me

That's how it was before, but this year they've had elite goaltending, a solid first defense pair and decent production from all 4 lines. People gave them the win because of these old thoughts about them plus because of NYI's ridiculous season start.

Joel Ward is the GOAT on that team Obviously no the fuck he's not but one can dream can't he?
Severely wish Detroit would've closed out the series at home. |

Besides, in no way did I compare them to the Rangers. It could go either, the Rangers have an answer to just about anything Washington could possibly have, but the opposite is also true. As far as what I think will happen in the semis, I give a slight edge to Washington, mainly because all of their players are giving it their all, while it isn't the case for NYR. They'll lose some them step up, but too little, too late, Caps in 6, you read it here first. Unless Holtby is injured, because then it's the end of the road for Washington.

Rangers have Zuc out which hurts them, but the Caps have a few key players, and Holtby is again being praised for an "amazing" job when yes I'll admit that he's a solid goalie, but you are talking about going against two of the best goalies in the league, Lundqvist and Talbot. Every single player on NYR is pivotal in their success whereas Washington relies predominantly on a few players, not their whole team. I'm not saying that Rangers will sweep them, as they couldn't even sweep the Penguins when all they had to do was shut Crosby down (Girardi's favorite bitch) and keep Malkin tangled up (but Kunitz stepped in and starting making plays). I hope you aren't forgetting that Rangers have the best defense overall except their literal mirror image over at Detroit. It'll be a fun series, but Rangers are winning indefinitely. Regardless of how many games it takes.

Specifically if there is one thing I want you to notice, it's how hard Girardi is going to be shadowing Ovechkin.
EDIT: Sorry for double post, I have my TWG mentality still going on haha.

Re: 2014/15 NHL Playoff Pick'em
Sorry myself if I led you into a misunderstanding, my Caps > Rags post had nothing to do with the rest! Just saying that this season's stats show another kind of Capitals, but them winning is just another thing. Besides I mostly pick underdogs, because lol.

@Poison, When Lundqvist got hurt, Talbot when on a hot streak like you wouldn't believe so don't even give me that shit. He is a top tier goalie, but obviously not the best of the best (not even top 5) if that's what you think I was saying.

Re: 2014/15 NHL Playoff Pick'em
The Tampa Bay Lightning have elimnated the Detroit Red Wings.
12/15 people guessed this outcome correctly. And with that, Kibblre has won the Round 1 record going 7-1 and wins the prize of 15,000 credits! (btw, I noticed how many credits were donated. Thanks so much guys, you're awesome! All prizes have been jacked up 1.5x the amount) So, with that, round 2 is also up to pick.
