That would explain a lot of the high bets. I was placing smaller ones, watching several bigger bets (there's a 100k one right now) being placed. I still prefer my technique of placing small bets first. What I do is bet 10s only. If I lose two in a row, then I progress to 50. If I lose that, I got to 100, then 500, then 1000, etc. It's been working perfectly for me, although it is very slow.
