My chest usually involves 3x flat BB bench, 3x incline DB, 3x hammer press, 3x machine flyes. Switched those to cable crossovers the other week. Hitting chest and shoulders tomorrow so I'll see how it goes, if still stalled at 7 reps I'll have to make some changes for a few weeks.

![]() not really some crazy fitness stat, but I've lost 7 pounds from Sunday as a result of walking at a brisk pace for at least a mile every day. woo!

![]() Figured I may as well ask here.
So I screwed up my back somehow. I don't even know how I screwed it up -- I was putting on my coat and it just sort of happened out of the blue, and it's been hurting like hell since Thursday (I had to take off work because I couldn't walk/sit comfortably and actually couldn't take full breaths without pain, and I was hobbling around like an old man clutching his back / couldn't stand up straight. I can walk/breathe/straighten up now but it's still painful to move around). It's this pain between the lower-ish area of the left shoulderblade and the spine. It only hurts when I move. I'm worried that something else is wrong because it's still hurting and it's now Saturday morning. Then again I have no idea is this is normal for a pulled back muscle. ![]() I don't know how to tell. I don't think it's a pinched nerve because it's not shooting pain/numbness/"zings" to some other place on my body. It's just localized pain in that general area of the back.

![]() I believe a slipped disc, the pain travels down the leg as well, and has a feeling of numbness. my ex had a slipped disc and complained of having his shin feel numb

Might just be a pulled muscle. :/ Silly that it kicks in just because of a fscking coat. I had lifted a plasma TV earlier this week but I am not sure if that's what ultimately led to this happening (most likely bad posture). |

Recommendations: Stretching, light weight back exercises, foam rolling. You can try heat/ice as well, and rest. From there I simply recommend waiting. If the pain persists for weeks without showing signs of improvement, then go see a doctor. Calf aesthetics: http://i.imgur.com/M8C8nSY.jpg People that say you can't build calves and it's all genetic - a year ago I barely had any taper to my calves at all. They were practically straight! Put almost 2 inches on my calves this year.

![]() I'm still trying to push mine to 20.
What I've been doing lately, since I keep forgetting to do them at the gym, is ride down one of the long conveyer belts at work, and just do standing calf raises until I hit the end. Instant 200+ reps. |

Mine are 8.5, calves are 16.25, as of today, which is up 2.25 inches from a year ago actually. Nice.

![]() I'm really stubby. My legs are shorter than Syhto's and I'm quite a bit taller than she is, haha. Ankles are 11 inches, I'm sitting at 17.5 for calves. They shrank, gotta start hitting actual weights!

And I never really go deeper than that. I don't care for squatting deep I guess. Probably a lack of flexibility, but whenever I squat deep I feel like I'm snapping some ligaments in my groin area. It really hurts. Quote:
