It's not so much my mental block now. I just can't physically keep up with the song. I am still getting 28+ goods within the first 300 arrows.

Well it was fun but I'm out.

Try keeping your wrists on your desk while you play. Somehow it does help PA. lol

Also, try and lean back so you can see the whole game screen. That helps as well.

Not entirely, these are just good ways to keep your focus on the game, which helps alot for good PA. i said to lock your wrists on the desk and play because normally when there in the air, you may mess up a movement, either causing your finger to hit too fast, or too slow. If you keep it locked on the desk, you can keep constant control over the game. While you do that, you can also lean back, which opens up your vision on the whole game. This means, you can focus more on all the arrows as 1, so it would be easier to concentrate.

Maybe its different for other people, but still is a good way to try it.

Well, beginners don't have much to choose from, which makes it difficult choosing none offbeat synth files.
