I don't get why you guys (namely staiain/isaac) are coming down hard on a guy who's going through a skill boost and is smashing all his records. I basically post 2 or more scores every time I play stepmania and the only difference here is Etienne is a newer guy who hasn't been vouched for by the majority of the community.

My only advice to you Etienne would be to cease posting any scores for now until you get people back on your side. Get on skype with ppl who know what to look for and do your best to make a vid with what they want in it.

Posting more scores will come off as though you are ignoring the calls coming at you (despite what your intentions are). So yeah. Let's drop this for now and carry on until he sorts his shit out ppl.

That's the key word, new guy.

Everyone who pops out of nowhere getting decent scores and improving them so fast gets callouts, and this has been the case in the stepmania community as long as i've been around and probably even longer. I'm not really calling bs either, I'm just telling him to cool it with his braggy attitude and be more modest. He is overshadowing other peoples scores by rapid posting his own ones.

imo etienne being cool guy. at least he's willing to comply and show what his skills are on video for people, rather than just getting wicked mad at others and pulling the "i dont care cause i did it and i know it"

...if he's willing to do this, cease all the bullshit talk for now. Etienne seems more than willing to comply with these vid terms, so no need to derail the thread further.

Superluminal keytaps sounded really good to me tbh, so I'm not really super skeptical or anything. But if he's making vids that include a comp boot plus those other specifications, should be enough to stop the bs claims. Just make sure everything on the computer screen is in view throughout the duration of the video.
