I play with heal on Delete, tele on Ctrl, and SR on space. I'm just used to it I guess, I think if you get used to something, almost any key settings can work, but I do wonder how you manage to telecast with that. O-o;

Yeah, same here. I can imagine attack buttons being on insert-pagedown, because that's about as physically manageable as crouching with ctrl while moving with WASD in a FPS. But telecasting has got to be a bitch. I bet if he were to try it with teleport apart from his attack keys he's like it a lot better.

That said, I leave all my pots on those keys that are visible in the corner for the practical reason of having them as a counter. If I could make a counter for any item (I'd REALLY love to be able to do this) and stick it in the corner, I might have pots elsewhere, but that's the main reason my pots all go right there. I like being able to track how much I have left, because if I'm running anywhere near low I like to know it way ahead of time.

I always had Heal on space, but I regretted it.

My problem was that MS hotkeyed my keyboard's media player controls to certain keys, so whenever I adjusted the volume, paused, skipped forward or backward, stopped, or muted, it would think I pressed a key. I therefore could not bind anything to those keys. QRPSJCB if I remember correctly.

My spacebar is still incredibly shiny where I used to keep my thumb in-game. Right next to Alt for jump. Control was for primary attack and Shift was for secondary. A was Teleport, and I put all of my buffs on n m , .

Toward the end of my MS career I just used a joypad and joy2key to bind all of my settings to it. Life was good.

That's not just MS, it's the way your keyboard is wired and how your computer interprets those keys. Games don't expect those special keys so they will do stuff in the game. Any time I hit play or stop my party/guild lists pop up, but I don't mind it too much. My mute responds as D, I think, which fires bolt in MS. I was playing BF2 one time and hit the mute key and I started strafing right. So yeah, it's not just MS, it's your keyboard. =P

I have Z = pickup, X = magic claw, C = jump, V = tele, D = heal. Buffs are on the right side, and I put pots on the little popup thing just like eb o_O (although my laptop has no traditional block of keys like those, so I use numpad for them and it won't register a few like Insert that way :/ ). My reasons are the same, plus I like being able to glance down and make sure I'm pressing the right key for the pot I need sometimes, since I don't use them often enough to have them all down instinctively.

It does not happen in any other game I have ever played on my computer.

The only other game that is affected by the media controls is Oblivion, and it just disables them all together.

Man, I've always regretted not taking a screenshot of my skill layout.

I remember some of the keys through muscle memory though. It's quite awesome.

V- Jump
Z- Magic Claw
G- Teleport
Ctrl - Heal
Shift - Invincible
D - Pick Up
X - Holy Arrow
A - Bless

I remember getting my third job skills but I only used them for what, three or so hours?

Space - Holy Symbol
C - Shining Ray

I had Magic Guard, a point in Magic Armor, and Dragon, but those were in places where I could not reach easily. I didn't need to use these skills often.

My potions are in the Insert, Home, Page Up, Delete, End, and Page Down block. They are quite close to my arrow keys.

Good thing it hardly ever bothers me. Actually, I don't think I ever get it in my hands or anything. It's always in my knee on the rare occasions that it strikes

By the way, it doesn't matter if oni (or anyone else for that matter) uses a stupid key setting as well. It's still stupid. And even I'll admit, my key settings aren't even completely free from stupid, but at least my main attack isn't directly above my directional keys.

Um, me jason, brandon, andrew, and my two friends tested out pq yesterday,
made it to the boss when andrew had to AFK so we lost.
Second time we had 1/4 bar left and brandon disconnected =/.
So today we're going to ask whoever wants to join the GPQ,

It's not too bad, I've done the first few stages with my other guild before,
plus we had Brandon to tell us how to work through the stages.
And obviously, it is.
The bosses physical would do about 11k BUMP.
It also does 1/1 and dispel like pap, except more often,
so I had killed alot of powers/elixirs which ended up in failure...
but I gues it was fun, though the jump quests were retarded

No one even knows what my current key setting is, except for the few skills shown in the popup thing.

Middle three fingers on my left hand sit on ASD. Middle three on my right hand sit on the arrow keys left, down, and right. My left pinky hits ctrl. On my right hand, my index finger hits del and ins, and my middle finger hits everything else(I used to have something on Page Down). Oh yeah, my right hand thumb hits Space. It just feels right for some reason.

Also, I have no idea why in the bloody hell I put Magic Guard on Home all of the time, but I just do, and I like it. It's kind of pointless, but it's a habit I just got used to. I love it there. Y is messenger so I don't accidentally hit it when using Meditation.

A lot of the keys there(like whisper) are ones in which I never use.

You may ask why I put buddy, etc. right next to my attacks when I could easily hit them on accident. Well, to this day, I have never hit them on accident, so they're fine there. R, on the other hand, is something where I have to move my hand up and right, therefore I've hit T on accident plenty of times.

By the way, I believe I heard you can use that shadow web skill to do large amounts of damage to those rock monsters.

I usually have the blue magic pots on there, but I apparently haven't gotten any from grims in a while and I had those green ones.

WHY WOULD YOU UNBIND SIT IT IS THE GREATEST KEY IN THE WORLD!

I think I have like 4-5 things unbound, but sit isn't one of them. I keep it around so I can sit/unsit in my chair rapidly and hump people. I definitely have World Map and Messenger unbound, I forget what else I have off the keyboard...

but what sucks about my key settings is that the JMS keyboard disallows certain keys. I have put Magic Guard on ~ for a while now, but JMS doesn't let you use ~ so I have to put it on Q. I usually put my booster on \ (so it's next to my other buffs on insert, home, etc) but you can't do that in JMS either. Seems like everything but the letters themselves aren't allowed in JMS, and it pisses me off. I may have to get Joy2Key if my bowman gets so high that I don't have room for my skills. D=
