Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
this is what happens when i don't watch you guys constantly, huh?
damn. take this crap to AIM or PMs or something. in other news, i printed out batch notes... 5 pages of notes from jx, 9 pages from blu. blu wrote some LONG notes. oh yea... before i forget. blu told me that his school commitments will be insane this coming semester and will not be able to work on the batch until the summer. as such, we have an opening for a judge. jx and i have already discussed our feelings on the matter, but i'm curious to a) hear who you guys think should be a judge and b) see from you guys who wants to be a judge.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
hi19?
He'll probably refuse just like the last time he was asked. I really can't think of anyone to be a judge in all honesty. Who were you guys thinking of to begin with, Tass? |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Hm...
Only three names come to mind for me: Patashu, behanjc, and bmah. Behan's sims are pretty good quality almost all of the time, well, I've played Patashu's sims in SM (not too many in FFR though). I've loved just about all bmah's sims too--but that one is more opinionated since I don't know if everyone pays attention to him. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I could tolerate bmah as a judge.
Would need to see more stuff from Patashu to say y/n. behanjc...no. Never. I can see the criticisms from him now, "You didn't put enough jumps in and you missed about 25 32nd note hi-hats and a few 48ths too, gg nub. (3/10) [-]" |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
ok.... so out of the 97 files for this batch...
16 +d by both 23 +d by just blu (actually 30, but 7 of them were +. and 4.5 or less by jx, so I'm not testing them. also, 4 of them were + by blu and 4.5 or less by jx... so, sadly, I will be playing those.) 3 +d by just jx another note... of the 19 files jx +d, 17 of them were +. the other 2 were files that jx submitted. not one file got higher than a 7/10. blu rated 14 files as 8/10, 3 as 9/10, and 1 as 9.5/10 (both of jx's files were 8+). blu also rated a +. file "boring/10"... and other files jx/10, fun/10, cantspellthis/10, nubbin/10, lolanotherfilenamedrain/10, boring/9, skeletor/10, and wrongbpm/10.... more fun note: both files rated boring were by robertsona. so, i guess i have to test 42 of the 97 files. damn you blu, once again. a small (large?) part of me will rejoice at your absence these next few months! until, of course, the next judge approves of 75% of the submitted files. and then i cry.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
yeah, I'm also shocked at how little people have nominated EW, I think he should be a judge next to Behan, personally, I haven't seen EW make a single bad file, ever...they're all perfectly synched, well stepped, and fun. And he's made some very easy files as well as very hard ones, so he's well rounded in every aspect except syncing weird files, which I haven't seen him do, and that's why behan, who's never, ever made a bad file IMO and has stepped many weird and tricky songs should be the number 1 pic for new judge

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
wow. glad there are so many responses in regards to the judge question. as far as the 1 hi19 fan... did we ever ask hi19 to judge? i sure hope not. as he has mentioned already himself.
as for who we've been discussing as a judge... you'll just have to wait a bit longer. but, glad to see you guys are fairly unified in who you think would be a good judge. ps - behan and EW have been approached in the past to be judges. and EW = ElectricWerewolf.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I think hi19 was brought up back in the day when you guys were looking for a judge after Rebirth quit. Sorry if I'm mistaken.
EW would be a decent judge, imo. Though I find his files hit and miss. Some I like, some I don't really like. |
