Hotel should be in the 50-70 per night range, IIRC. split between 2 people 1 night and 3 people 1 night... wasn't bad at all. plus gas split between 2 people. *shrugs*.

Drugstore: How far are you away from Ann Arbor again? Since so many people are staying at your place, maybe it would be better to do a Friday meetup in Ann Arbor instead of having you guys drive all the way down to Bowling Green. For the people hitting Bowling Green that day, I have room in my car for 1-2 people. I depends on who I end up going to the event with and how comfortable people are squishing in my back seat.
Then, Sunday, I'm down with whatever.

I only said that because I was stuck at the Student Union and no one ever said anything about me being there til 4:00 AM. I actually planned everything out with a friend including which hotels we are staying at and how much it will be for gas. Quote:
Kwik I thought the same thing tonight. I talked to my friend about the convention and asked if he would wanna go. I mentioned Ann Arbor and told him I would want to head out down there Friday. Actually I figured thats what day we would meet up if we DID do a meet up in Ann Arbor... Its only logical. People have to leave Sunday so Friday would be the best time. ANYWAY Me and my friend literally planned everything already... Friday: We are heading out to Ann Arbor around 11:00 PM and getting a hotel... On 94 there is a hotel for 83 dollars a night called Best Western Executive Plaza. We are staying there Friday. Saturday: Going to the convention Saturday morning and getting a hotel at Sleep Inn or whatever its called. Not sure if you guys want to do something AFTER the convention but if you all do, thats cool. Sunday: This all depends if you guys are going to do anything. ![]() Last edited by Sir_Thomas; 01-11-2008 at 11:40 PM.. |

I secretly think Hammy gets really offended when we make assumptive allusions to his lifestyle. =/

From Quebec (Quebec), so it's quite a while away. I did go to Otakon 2007, which cost me roughly 500$ (16$ ''Allô Stop'' to go to montreal, 112.50$ round trip with greyhound from Montreal, 100$ for 3 nights in a hotel room with 5 other people I had met on the net, 50$ registration costs, 130$ of personal spending cash, 30$ of taxi drive from bus station to hotel and back after, 40$ ish from Montreal to Quebec since Allô Stop was closed when I got back).
Though you do need a passport to get into the states, which means the following: birth certificate ''carte d'assurance maladie'' can't remember if you need ''Carte d'assurance sociale'' around 80$ for the passport asking it about one month in advance before the trip or else you might not get it on time.... WARNING: Greyhound isn't a fun ride.....and it was 13 hours ride, being at Baltimore, MD. Ohio seems at a similar distance, though might take a little more time. I haven't been a member of FFR for very long and this event doesn't seem as fun/crazy as Otakon, so I'll probably not go this year, but who knows for 2009 ![]() I hope you all have fun so that next year it becomes THE even to go at. +Soldat+ |

We need to get something closer to NY =[. We should organize independent meetups in various parts of the U.S. based on # of members within a certain radius. Anyways, I wish I could go to this and meet a bunch of people, but I doubt I could go unless I'm extremely fortunate and have nothing to do that wkend.

i know i can mess with hammy
![]() and you're the bitch, bitch. ![]() edit- soldat. you don't need a passport to get to the states through Michigan at least. all you need is a birth certificate. I would know. I'm 19 and i like to partake in scandalous events such as legal drinking and happy ending massages in Canada. edit2 - im kidding about happy ending massages. they're too expensive ;D edit3 - you dont need a social security card either. Three months away and there's already six pages in the thread. So far, this should prove to be far more epic than last year, especially if we actually do the night out on the town the day before/after.
