Italy vs Australia was crap, Italy did good defending but were lucky to get that penalty. They are through.
Switzerland vs Ukraine was crap, utter crap. Italy should destroy Ukraine in the Quarter Finals. |

i gotta admire mexico but i gotta admit that the mexican player that made a goal in his own is a dumbazz! thanks to him they lost but things like that happen

I totally missed both matches today due to spending the day out, but hearing Brazil win was no shock, but hearing that Spain lost. That was a shock. Spain had done amazing so far, I guess their underachieving record continues.

Yep, it does...
France just played better. Spain put up a fight. The match was not onesided at all. The match was pretty much over though when they suffered the second goal. Zizu's goal was just the cherry on top in the 92 minute. Who do you fancy? Brazil or France?

I would say Brazil over France, but Brazil aren't in top form, so it'll depend on how they play on the day. Overall my predictions are:
Germany vs. Argentina (Argentina) Italy vs. Ukraine (Italy) Brazil vs. France (Brazil) Portugal vs. England (England) Then the semi's Argentina vs. Italy (Argentina) England vs. Brazil (Brazil) Final: Argentina vs. Brazil (Argentina) Well. That's what I think. |

I do think that Argentina is a very strong team, but right now Germany is looking unstoppable. I do think that Germany will advance to the final where they will meet France. I believe that France will defeat Brazil on account of Brazil not as dominant as you expect from them. Also France playing well and it's Zizu's last world cup. I do think that Germany will win the cup though.

I just can't wait until tomorrow. Everygame from here on out should be spectacular. I'd like to see germany win... i think. I don't really know anymore. As long as its a good game i'll be happy. Since the U.S. got their asses handed to them, i haven't found a replacement team to really chear for.

I'm watching the game online (yay ESPN) and so far it hasn't been a very exciting match. Argentina hasn't even attempted a SHOT yet.

So Italy completely shut down Ukraine, 3-0
However, the scene after the game is a reason why I enjoy soccer. I mean, Ukraine just got it's ass beat... and they still congratulate the Italians, trade jerseys, and just show a general comraderie that I've never really seen in a sporting event. Italy has to be the best defensive team in the game... they haven't allowed a goal from the opposing team yet this year (there was an own goal in the USA game), which is remarkable.

Those Argentinans have attitude problems. I totally agree with what Sert said about comraderie(did I spell that correctily?). To see them trying to start a fight was despicable. Lol, they lost in penalties. Both shots that were blocked by the goalie were sent to the exact same spot.
Germany vs. Italy is going to be awesome. I think Germany will win. Italy is strong, but Germany has just been incredible in this tournament.
