let's not get too picky here. if you know what a jack is and you know what a jump is.. if you can't figure out what a jump jack is you're not allowed on this site anymore.

Chains- 8th note pattern in which there are a mixture of jumps and taps, with each arrow being "connected" by a common arrow.

Sandwiches- a triple where a tap note is "sandwiched" in between two jumps.

And that pattern in Coat Czech is jumpstream, it just so happens that there is a jump on every arrow.

Switchbacks, according to danceguy who told me what they were, are basically like jump trills, only shortly. Like in RdS, you'd have a 46 jump and 82 jump trilling once or twice. Somewhere around a 500 combo is also a 86 jump and 42 jump trilling together as well.

wow great great thread luna. I never understood what those were and couldn't talk about them. I HATE THE RUNNING MEN in classical insanity. I also hate jumpstream. Favorites are ROLLS and STAIRCASES. I love staircases, they flow so perfectly with spread it's insane.

running mans are a bitch, i don't see how it affects spread players more than other styles though

it's just physically tough to control 2 of your fingers on one hand that way. try tapping your middle finger quickly and then your pointer finger every other 3 taps or so. now try throwing in periodic taps with your other hand as well. i imagine it would be easier to do the constant tapping with one hand and alternate between the other "running?" arrows with the other hand.
