Re: Twitch Plays Pokemon
I like democracy mode for times like this. It's boring to watch the same area for 2 days straight.

Re: Twitch Plays Pokemon
there was a huge celebration "woohoo" sort of feeling when we got past Rt9's ledge. Imagine the celebration after getting out of Game Corner/Silph./Victory Road?
That's gone now because people couldn't be patient enough. edit: it's seriously just a slow retarded lets play at this point. No fun at all :< |

Re: Twitch Plays Pokemon
I think this is a fantastic idea and yall just haters
I'd much rather see the game completed under this system than have the creator physically intervene at crucial points like the safari, victory road strength puzzles, etc. Neither is truly organic in the original sense but the former is a lot more so than the latter. This also adds some more complexity to a thing that has really exceeded all expectations. My only complaint is that democracy does feel like Pokemon slow ver as opposed to good old chaotic fun, but as long as anarchy can pull the votes outside of nigh impossible areas, I'm happy

Re: Twitch Plays Pokemon
well if they want to be scientific about it, they're going to have to redo the whole experiment from the beginning now because they totally destroyed their data.

Re: Twitch Plays Pokemon
btw now even anarchy lacks some fun cuz people NEED to input anarchy in order to keep it so most (50%+) inputs are anarchy/democracy... Just get rid of democracy srsly...
EDIT: man I didnt know one could kill fun that badly omg. Hopefully tommorow I wake up and see the thing's back to normal like the last days. Last edited by xXOpkillerXx; 02-18-2014 at 10:45 AM.. |

Re: Twitch Plays Pokemon
Now we're at the point where more people are voting democracy/anarchy than actually inputting commands for Red. This thing just keeps getting more interesting in its symbolic value lol

Re: Twitch Plays Pokemon
Somebody should set up some other turn based games. Not sure it would be possible with any real time games because you would fail miserably at every enemy encounter.

Re: Twitch Plays Pokemon
I would imagine having this novelty concept being used for something like Final Fantasy would not be as successful.
Mainly because in Final Fantasy, least the old game, there's a lot of item managing you need to do and I just don't see that being possible. ESPECIALLY since Final Fantasy has it so if you kill something and then attack what you just killed, it'll miss. |

Re: Twitch Plays Pokemon
I think the anarchy/democracy thing is awesome, that way when people eventually get frustrated after being in the same spot for 12+ hours they can just cooperate instead. They were stuck in one small area for like a solid day then democracy got them out in a pretty short while.

Re: Twitch Plays Pokemon
I don't even think a single person could play super smash brothers with a 30 second delay let alone hundreds or thousands.
