Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
so... 30 files were at least +.'d by both. 21 files were at least +.'d by blu. 5 files were at least +.'d by jx.
basically, blu approved of too many files. also, funny note. there was 1 file that blu +'d and jx -'d. there was another file that blu -'d and jx +'d. both files were by hi19. aaaand... i saw the first 8.5 rating in a simfile by jx. i think i've only seen 1 8 from jx before this batch, ever. and this batch had an 8 and an 8.5. both of those files in this batch are from behan. blu's ++ was jx's 8.5, btw.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Haha I love how my files are quite polarizing.
Behan is a really good stepper. Once this batch comes out, I'm thinking that I'll finally get around to fixing and re-submitting all my files that need fixing and re-submitting.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
to note, i think every 7.5+ that jx has ever given has been for behan... don't quote me on that, but i think behan is the only person to get a 7.5 or higher from jx. probably not true... i'm sure there's been 1 or 2 files over the past 5+ batches that got a 7.5 that wasn't by behan. but definitely every 8 or 8.5 has been behan.
and gnr: tell shash to come back then. we HAD a 3rd judge... for 1 batch. one more thing: so, blu has 21 files that jx didn't + or +., right? i think i'm only going to test files that jx gave at least a 5 to. because there were a few 4.5s and 4s (and hi19's 1)... although only if it was a +.. if blu gave it a full +, i'll test it regardless of jx's rating. edit: that only removes 3 files. there were 4 or 5 others that blu +'d and jx gave under 5... but i'll test those.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
behanjc is a really nice stepper
i'm not completely OMFG BLOWN AWAY by his files and i think that final step is overrated, but overall he's probably the best active stepper on ffr EDIT: so tass are you starting judging now or wat

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I got a ++ from JX once but that was before he did the -/10 ratings.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Sheesh, if behan is making really good files but still only gets an 8.5/10, I wonder what kind of chart you'd have to make to get the 9 or higher on JX's system.
This batch is going to be interesting since the judges don't seem to agree with each other AT ALL about what's good and what's not. No pressure, Tass. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
lol, that's the best, if only it had to do with Judaism...lol k, so I personally think Behan and EW are the current best FFR steppers, and I believe EW got an 8 once but not sure, anywho, Behan is awesome, glad we all agree

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
i stand corrected. patashu has an 8 in this group. it's pretty interesting.
played 10 files... 3 +s, 2 +s on the condition they tweak stuff, and 5 -s.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
If I didn't +. it for technical mistakes in the layering and pattern choices then I doubt jx did.
Now, please stop asking about your file and refer to my post up there somewhere where I said about contacting me on AIM if you have questions, etc.

Stepping to more than one sound at a time. (i.e. stepping to the main melody and the drums)
Also, I'm actually sending stuff to the next batch. |
