Re: The Pseudo Skill Token Thread V2
Nope. It isn't.
I've only made one exception to a token like that. I haven't updated it, but it's for Rubix's token. I made this exception because... 1) It's on Excite Bike, so the length isn't a factor in extreme annoyance. 2) It's an addition on to Rubix's token, so doing the other requirements would be just as tough, if not tougher. His token deserves to be difficult in a multiple aspects after all his accomplishments on FFR. (If anyone pulls any bs calls or merely insinuates at him not being legit with his accomplishments, I will suspend you or maybe even ban you from getting these pseudo tokens. I don't want any of that crap going on in this thread.) This will most likely be the only token like this. Maybe I'll allow one token like this per 100 tokens, haha. |

Re: The Pseudo Skill Token Thread V2
I modified the token. Is that still unacceptable? If so, if I pick a particular song, would that work then?

I will accept a token asking for a miss count of 666 with a combo of 666, or a boo count of 666 with a combo of 666. Edit: Also, here are Rubix's new requirements for his token. MrRubix: -AAA Party 4U. *and* -AAA Excite Bike Stealth. *and* -Get the following Excite Bike breakdown: 2 Perfects, 4 Goods, 6 Averages, 8 Boos, 10 Misses, 12 Combo. Yes, it's pretty tough. It's an unique token with an unique difficulty that fits Rubix, haha. Like I said before, I'm only allowing this one token with the exact amount of perfects, goods, averages, etc. required. You'll also notice he took out the OMW/Molto section, so this token may have been made easier to some. =P Last edited by HammyMcSquirrel; 05-8-2008 at 02:59 PM.. |

Re: The Pseudo Skill Token Thread V2
Miss count of 666 with combo of 666 ;-;
That means it'd have to be a really arrow heavy song.

Re: The Pseudo Skill Token Thread V2
Oh sweet, I think I can actually get the rubix token even easier than before, I think the FC on molto or omw without boo's/av's was insanely hard and worthy, besides, only 4 people now have AAA'd p4u.
Edit: oh nvm, I didn't see the 2nd part of the excite bike one, that's stupidly hard Edit2: Wait, that's impossible, how can you get a 12 combo if you are only allowed 2 perf, 4 good, 6 av...that's only 10 combo. Edit3: WOW I'M STUPID ROFL Last edited by [TeRa]; 05-8-2008 at 03:45 PM.. |

Re: The Pseudo Skill Token Thread V2
I believe he said he preferred a token that was more-so unique than just another AAA and FC token. I was just justifying the reasoning of giving him an exception to one of the rules I have in place.
Edit: I'll ask him if he wants to put the OMW and Molto requirements back in, along with what's there now. >=) |

Re: The Pseudo Skill Token Thread V2
Thing is, I didn't want my token to just simply be a PA challenge. I like unique challenges more, and I don't want my token to be so hard that nobody can acquire it. Having a token that is difficult to *everyone* but still within reach is far more rewarding.
AAA'ing Party 4U is hard because the background is uniquely crazy and requires a very careful focus imo, and the fact that few have AAA'd it so far makes it a worthy challenge in terms of PA performance Stealth AAA'ing Excite Bike is unique because it's actually quite fun and tricky, yet feasible for many, I am guessing And getting the 2/4/6/8/10/12 breakdown is unique because it's a cool pattern and it requires some planning to execute correctly, in addition to the difficulties of being specific enough to acquire such a specific breakdown execution-wise. Excite Bike is not even 10 seconds long, so it makes it easy to try again and again if you mess up, too. We already have plenty of skill tokens/pseudo tokens/contests/etc revolving around PA'ing some crazy ass song. I think it's more fun and more accessible to a greater number of players to make unique tokens that are interesting, yet still difficult in the sense that it requires multiple skill sets other than mindless PA'ing. So if there's an overwhelming demand to add conditions to the token to PA harder stuff then I'll consider having the token updated again, but imo it's worthy as-is.

Re: The Pseudo Skill Token Thread V2
Token #82 and #83
I found this amusing...The last arrow didn't register as a miss, since my life was low enough after missing it to fail me out. So basically...I failed out before the miss registered, but it looked the file ended. Anyways, after unlocking token 83, I have reached my goal of unlocking a total of 69 tokens. I no longer care to unlock any more. Maybe I will in the future... Maybe... Edit: Yeah, it is. xD Last edited by HammyMcSquirrel; 05-8-2008 at 07:54 PM.. |
