Nydus has been killed!

Time flies, Joel and Ellie's relationship rests in shambles as Ellie questions the true intentions of Joel:

Eventually, leaving to the lab on their trusted horse from Tommy, the expected catharsis creeps upon us as Tommy begins to see more and more of Sarah in Ellie, and their journey evolves into a special experience. It is more than a cargo deliver, the line of what a father and what a daughter are blur as existence and reality complement the intentions of nature.

Navigating through "abandoned" university campuses, Joel and Ellie finally arrive to the expected school science lab that was used by the Fireflies. Voice recorders are found along the way, leaving it clear that the Fireflies are long gone and their new location is no longer in Eastern Colorado.....Shattered glass everywhere, unfinished results, the school remains a false beacon of hope.

Then, voices and shots are heard!

A group of rogue survivors ambush Joel and Ellie as the two kill many in order to escape.

Almost at the exit, Joel approaches a door from the balcony when a thug survivor bursts out and pins him against the rail:

The winter's cold hug embraces the land as Ellie hunts for survival. Her bow skills are remarkable as she desparately scavenges the land to care for a near-mortally wounded Joel.

In an abandoned barn, she comes across two survivors, part of an additional group, who agree to trade medicine if Ellie offers up some food.

There is something off about this man, David, as his slender figure and long shaggy hair offput his deep monotone voice.

You know, back ago we lost a lot of our men.....Yeah.....to a man, and get this.....to a young girl

Ellie snagged the antiobiotics and gave them to Joel as they fell asleep.

Morning came, and suddenly....voices

Ellie sees a group of David's men have tracked them down, wanting revenge. Ellie hides Joel and sneaks away before hopping on their trusty horse, Callus, and riding through the village.

A valliant effort falls short as a rifle shot hits Callus, and the duo fall off a small hill.
