Re: Rock Band. More Awesome.
okay back from the dlc
amazing response to gh3's virtuoso pack I only downloaded the three hard songs (Aesthetics of Hate, Constant Motion, Sleepwalker), but all of them took me a few tries to get. Sleepwalker kind of surprised me because out of the 100 songs I've played so far, that's the first one with any sort of triplet action on the bass pedal. Seriously, what took so long. Also, Constant Motion is probably my new favourite drum song. Aesthetics of Hate is a really good song in general. EDIT: Quote:
all this time, harmonix has had you living in an illusion, given you 4/4 time notecharts, hiding you in a little, virtual niche, keeping you docile but now you've entered the rabbit hole welcome to the world of triplet notes EDIT2: Quote:
DOO KAH DOO KAH DOO KAH DOO KAH PSH KAH PSH KAH PSH KAH PSH KAH

Re: Rock Band. More Awesome.
Anyone else in the "Has purchased every available DLC song" club?
It's fun to play online with people who have more than the default set of choons. Also, for anyone interested in picking up some more DLC, 1600 MS point cards are 25% off at Target for a couple more days. If you have the paper ad for it, Best Buy will match that price if Target's out of stock. So, stock up and save on those new tracks. |

I at least like to know my band has some competency on the instruments they are playing. Not like, 100% Run to the Hills on drums, or 100% Afterlife on guitar, just good enough so that the song SOUNDS somewhat like it should. EDIT: Wait, no, 100% THRASHER, on Guitar, considering it falls under both Afterlife and GGaHT on the difficulty on solo guitar.

I can conduct 3 and 2 at the same time and I actually practice arm independence with that beat, but **** doing it with my feet too lol. My second time through I did alright because I started getting the groove when right hand is on yellow or blue, I just have to work on the parts where I have to move around on the pads at the same time.

Re: Rock Band. More Awesome.
Man, I haven't had live for a while because I used to use my PC as a bridge for a wireless connection. Then I went to a LAN and all the PC nerds were like, "Your PC shouldn't be like that". so I can't connect to live. I haven't tried to fix it as I knew I was getting my own ISP real soon. In like 4 days. So I can just hook my 360 straight to the router.
Anyway long story short. I haven't had live for a little while and I've been itching to download the new songs. Soon though. Like 18th of this month soon.

Re: Rock Band. More Awesome.
Rock Band for the Wii sucks. Here are all the bad sides of it:
No creating characters No Band World Tour Mode No downloading songs No free tour mode, only straightforward Same cost as PS3 and 360 versions PS2 is exact same but is $70 cheaper This game sucks for Wii. Unless you don't have a PS2 or 360 or PS3, then this game is a rip-off. Just wait for Rock Band 2 to come out, even though it's not as good as Guitar Hero 4. |
