Well, I'm no expert on Spearman but wouldn't it be more efficient to have FA before Hyperbody? Unless you plan to pq a lot or party, hyperbody really is going to slow you down a lot. Plus, FA doesn't work with 3rd job skills so why not make the most of it during 2nd job eh? I would actually get more in booster because it is still very costly at level 6 and 1 minute isn't that long. Yeah, but I would personally go with FA before HB.

I've deffinitly thought of that because I absolutely hate PQing. That's probably what I'll end up doing, since I prefer soloing as well.

Yeah if you are going FA, you do it right after mastery. That's the whole point of FA is to help 2nd job... o_O I'd max mastery and then save up a number of levels and dump into FA (don't want any weak FA as if it kicked in it'd be a waste of time).

Yeah but it doesn't hurt to have weak FA since it's passive and requires no mana.

I have a question, when your a beginner can u only save up to 6 skills at a time? I wanted to put all my skills into crossbow skills, and not waste them with the begginer skills, although it seems it stops at 6...so then 4 get wasted as i level when im getting to lvl 10, im wondering if they will come back when i become a crossbowman. Sorry for being a total nub at this

You can only use your 6 skill points gained as a beginner in your beginner skills. Just click your beginner tab and the amount will magically reappear.
For bowman skills, you can only use them on bowman skills. Even if job advance, you can still only use them in bowman skills. Also, you cannot put them in lower level skills, in case you wanted to do that for some reason. If you could do that, people would make builds to not use any skill points until level 30. Then when they got to 30, they'd be stronger than most level 40-50s are now with their wide range of skills, even if they don't have as much stat points in their main skill. It may seem a little hard, but you can literally level from 1-10 by just whacking stuff, even if you only do 1-3 damage(mages do it all the time to level 8), and you can get from 10-30 by trading items in for experience at higher levels. Meaning you just get on your other character, transfer the items down, and powerlevel the lower characters. It's very possible to get to level 30 without even using a skill or stat point in your build. You can even do it without job advancing. |

Yes you can. I didn't max Magic Guard until 2nd job. The only exception is beginner skills, which is what I assume you meant. You cannot use your points from higher jobs on beginner skills.

Wow, did realise so many people play MapleStory. You've all got some amazing tips and stuff. (and I also agree that Final Attack is a useless skill)\
I'll just say this...when making a Bandit, always go with Dagger masteries or SB, I can't stretch that enough. At least get 3 into dagger booster before getting other skills as well. Blah, trust me, I'm a lv48 Bandit. |

FA is only useless if you're not going hybrid. Otherwise you have so many extra points that you might as well get it.
And for the record Nikkis, that's the most visually disturbing way you could have possibly listed your build. Also, at level 39 you went straight into HB, but you need to add 3 to Iron Will first, but later you assumed you already put 3 into IW so you actually gave yourself 3 extra points. =P Also, WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU MAX IRON WALL!? XD For one, 20 more wdef/mdef isn't gonna help you, really. Secondly, you'll probably be hanging out with clerics a lot, and any decent cleric would have maxed Bless, which gives you 20 wdef/mdef anyway, making IW completely useless. Honestly, if you're gonna get something stupid like that, you'd be better off getting Iron Body from first job, since it gives 40 at max, which will always be better than Bless. Here's what I would do (and will do with my spearlady): 30 - 36: 19 Spear Mastery 37 - 38: 6 Booster 39 - 48: 30 Final Attack 49: 3 Iron Will (only to unlock HB) 50 - 53: +12 Booster (18) 54: +2 Booster (max), +1 Spear Mastery (max) 55 - 64: 30 Hyber Body 65-70: 18 free points into whatever, prolly endure and recovery. Hell, maybe PA mastery if you wanna be semi-hybrid. *shrug* But yeah, don't get IW. EDIT: You posting ninjas, posting while I type! >=O And really, I don't have anywhere near the money a 10-int cape is worth. I don't even have anywhere near the difference between a 8int and 10int, so a trade with my cape wouldn't work either. Really I'd just wanna use it until you are ready to sell it or until I can pay you for it. Then again, I understand if you don't wanna give stuff me, even though we all know I'm your bestest buddy. ![]() And Tee, I guess you don't highlight text while you're reading it. ;D You can miss important stuff that way. XD

Well, I think anything would be better than FA. Just go back and max all the 1st job skills or something, anything is better than FA when you're a DK >_>..

Having played a few warriors, I can say that I like FA for them. Not only is it like a free powerstrike, but it's a REALLY FAST free powerstrike. Being able to powerstrike+FA and kill something before it can shoot me (cuz 2 powerstrikes is slow) is really useful. It's pretty much never annoying or endangering (like people say archer FA is), so I like it. It helps make 2nd job cheaper (fewer powerstrikes = fewer potions) and faster (like I said, it's fast), which makes it much more useful than 1st job skills (which you'll have enough points to max anyway if you're not hybrid) or IW, even if it does become completely useless in 3rd job.
Also, ya never know what they'll make work with FA in 4th job. =P
