Re: ODIPack3 submissions (May 18th deadline!)
Holy shit. I now realize the effort it takes to put out a good file... I've been on the same 15 seconds of The Grey Tide for about 25 minutes now, making sure everything is on sync. I have the song setting to 0.5x and even assist tick on o.O
Don't ya just LOVE Prog songs xD EDIT: The offset was off by 0.40 seconds. FML have to start from scratch again

Re: ODIPack3 submissions (May 18th deadline!)
easier to keep adjusting from where it started to go off-sync

Re: ODIPack3 submissions (May 18th deadline!)
Not in this case the FIRST note was off-sync. I've actually been doing this so far and it's been working quite well...although the BPM changes are making my brain hurt xD

Re: ODIPack3 submissions (May 18th deadline!)
reviews
anger of yuyu very accurately made but not that special of a file, it's fairly simple and it's all 16ths. it has good tempo and it's fun but since it's so long and nothing else ever happened i'm gonna have to reject this. good job though i really hope you have time to make another file for the pack! captain murasa's ass anchor (revision) accepted. we should discuss a couple of minor things though, add me on skype! child protective services theme song (revision) accepted. that is one awesome file end of time pretty simple file with mostly 16th rhythms and some drum rolls, and there are a few files like this in the pack already. this one wasn't that accurately made either and it was hard to tell what was going on a lot when playing. Uplift (affected edit) awesome accepted. really fun. great variation. that's how to make a good file with just 16ths! the minijacks are great, the first stream is great and the ending climax hold-stream is great. gravestoned (revision) accepted. but heavy needs to be a lot easier, less jumps and less hands and easier patterns sometimes salieri strikes back accepted. heavy: the very very end was a bit sloppy but p much everything else was really sick. great patterns. you could have had a couple more doubles or freezes in the guitar solo and one point when there were a few more accutuated notes, i think he was playing on 2 strings iirc. i think there was one more part in a solo where he did some cool trick sounds and i felt like it could be represented with freezes or jumps or smth. oni: also really awesome and i love that is has so many important parts made very different from heavy, it's superfun. so i guess i have to say which one i like the best and it's heavy for me but i'm biased since it's made pretty much exactly like how i would have done it. really like the layering methods, the amount of layering, the patterns are sick, and some parts are just supergood like that drumroll part and the last solo unconnected accepted. fun, challenging and good length. but needs an easier difficulty for sure imo (this should be challenge) scylax it's sooo loooong. some parts are awesome, but since it's mostly 16th, the parts that only has 16ths, are fairly easy and doesn't have that much cool stuff going on in the song should be cut out imo (for example one long part pretty early that came before the part with the 24th bursts and drumtrills). also at some points there are some crazy stuff going on in the song but the steps just look like the regular 16ths that are everywhere, this should also be looked at.

Re: ODIPack3 submissions (May 18th deadline!)
i forgot a couple!
mariostep (revision) accepted. this file has come a long way. really like it now. challenging in a very fun way, nice consistent level of difficulty while having variation, and the music is represented very well in an obvious way new lights accepted. holy SHIT this file is SICK AS HELL. the ending is a bit anti-climactic unfortunately but it's impossible to avoid since the first half of the file is just fantastic, i got a rush of serotonin from playing this file also don't think i have received your file halogen
