Yeah that's fine but you barely made the cut. I will update this thread later tonight or tomorrow to explain the rules of the tournament and how it will be carried out.

korny, two things about your rules on disqualification I'd like to point out.

1. If you have items on or incorrect stock, can't somebody get one time to correct it instead of being instantly disqualified? People like myself tend to forget, and instant disqualification for a minor mistake made once seems unfair. So why not give them one chance, then disqualify them? That'll help them remember with a warning.

2. If you get disconnected, what if you were winning? Perhaps if this were the case then maybe a re-do without getting a loss would be the best option. After all, you can't help if you get disconnected.

Just some friendly suggestions.

I'm real psyched about the tourney.

Then do something ahead of time to make sure that it doesn't happen. It's really not THAT HARD. Do it ahead of time and there shouldn't be any problems.

About the connection issue. Even if you were winning, how is it fair to the other person? Technically, the match isn't over until it's over. Unfortunately people do become disconnected and that is the only real flaw in this tournament. There isn't any real fair way of doing this so 1 loss per disconnection. That's just the way it's going to go.

How will you know who times out?

Wii Wifi drops everyone in game, not just one player.

Also, Lag is going to play a large factor in the outcome. Something that can't really be accounted for.

One person is forced to reconnect to there wifi while the other person who didn't lose connection remains online. It only drops the person who lost connection. I don't know what you're talking about.

How can you tell if someone dc's? Doesn't it just replace them with a computer play and you can't tell? I haven't actually played in about a week so I'm not sure.

In other words, does anyone know what happens when a friend dc's?

I just explained it in the post above you. If you're the one who got disconnected then it'll take you offline. It won't take the person who didn't get disconnected offline.

I'm wondering that, too.

P.S. Do you have to stick with one character the entire time or can you switch between characters?

wouldn't it be easiear to have a round last for a day or two? if someone were to miss the exact time for the match, wouldn't that get them disqualified?

That's 6:00 pm eastern ; 5:00 pm central ; 4:00 pm mountain ; 3:00 pacific (Just to clarify so we have no unfair disqualifications)

Can you put together a graphical bracket?

Also: we all need to have each other on friends list, no? This is the final list of 32, right? I suppose I might as well get to adding everyone I haven't yet.
