@deadly and red, are the songs for this tourney gonna be similar to the difficulty range of the upcoming OT, or are they gonna be similar to tourneys in the past/last year's OT?

im completely fine either direction, its your tourney after all. just curious, cuz the new difficulty range expectations are scary lol, but at the same time gotta prep for it.

New difficulties can't be considered here as it lengthens the scale (specifically D6-D7 has the bulk of the change). As far as my knowledge, it should be normal with the exception of host digression.

D1: 25-55
D2: 35-66
D3: 50-77
D4: 63-85
D5: 70-90
D6: 78-95
D7: 85-99

That's how OT's should be.

Legit curious because by those numbers FFR has gained a lot of skill over the past few years in a sitewide scale and that is an incredible feat.

Ranges that I made up based on previous OT's. Like Kayla said: They don't want AAA fests.

D2's playing a 66? isnt that the AAA requirement to get into D5? O.o

idk, this whole sudden difficulty jump for everything is really taking me by surprise and confusing me. i get it's an attempt to keep AAA fests from happening, but lets be honest, AAA or die rounds only really happen in D6/7. maybe an occasional round in D5. D1-4 has never really been ones to AAA everything that comes at them, so i dont understand why theyre being hit at all.

oh well, guess we'll all just have to wait and see how it turns out.

I can't speak for certain for sure, and definitely not on OT's, but if the difficulty doesn't ramp up pretty fast in the Player's Choice tourney, it's going to be AAA or die all the way.

It's that same class of players (that I happen to be a part of) that I'd like to call the boomers of FFR. They usually cause AAA or die no matter what division they're in. That being said, I personally think FFR's power creep is real.

If I had my Simon Cowell judgments on someone I'd watch irl AAAing something like CIA Rave, I would simply tell them I wasn't impressed at all. :P
