when kommi started up xoon 6, bluexoon as a community was dead. I mean, the domain and forums still exist on stian's webhost, but no one has posted on it since early-mid 2013 pretty much. doesn't matter in the end since xoon 6 died and I ended up collecting whatever files and releasing them in bunch of files 3.

I don't think it's entirely necessary to revive red fraction as a website (yet again) and having it die off exactly like the last few times tbh.

I still have the domain, and maybe I'll do something with it sometime. I SUPPOSE I will keep the project on FFR. I'll go into the hyperbolic time chamber and come up with a name.

But the reason to not give this pack an entirely new name is to maintain a level of expectation based on the name. If this becomes DCP2, then more people know what level of quality to expect than if it was something entirely new, because a first DCP exists. Same reason why this thread is called PPP3

Coming up with a title is something that should be done in the end imo, unless the title carries a direction with it in deciding on a general level what type of charts the player is to expect. If you want this pack to be named PPP3 or DCP2, the pack should maintain the same style as it's predecessors, otherwise the name is irrelevant.

I'm guessing you're okay with the modern approaches to charting and would accept files that are on par with what has been released of late (and I don't just mean NB5 js nonsense). If you are, I wouldn't worry about naming this until the end and just get on with file submissions.

I feel like I'm a bit more lax with chart styling now. I would allow jumpstream or dump files if the charts make sense and are fun. Absolute quality and accuracy isn't super important anymore

All packs and anything involving stepmania ever is subjective. FFR uses judges to decide for you what files are good enough to go into the game and what aren't, as do all the packs in stepmania. This isn't new

There are reasons behind me dropping off at the end of DCP, and some of the other previous packs were shit on by two or three people including you, shitting up my threads complaining that I ditched DCP so packs canceled. I purchasead a $140 mechanical keyboard to get back into this game, and that purchase will keep me playing and interested for a while
