Hi guys! Interrupting the Middie drama here to say thanks for liking my file. However, that file is totally not even the file that should be in the game. I sent in a version with some fixes and updates waaaay back, and I'm sad and slightly confused to find the original file ingame instead.
I'll assume this is just an oversight and point out to whomever it may concern that my fixed version was sent august 13th.
Alright nevermind. Please wait as I hide in a corner and cry in shame because I didn't send the right file the second time. Totally my own fault. Gonna send the right one immediately.
OK so when I saved with SM3.9 way back when, it saved over my new file with my old file because I didn't reload the songs. Never again. Had to dig deep to find anything that resembled the right version and even then, a few hotfixes were needed. Sent now though.
I'd love to, I just need some more free time personally. As it is, I think I'm about ready to just pass out on my bed because I'm really tired and have to work a 10 hour shift tomorrow starting at 6 am, lol
i just don't want to see sonic on the front page anymore
S.E.B. in B.E.D. - Pretty fun.
Feels like the initial 16th stream could have had layering in it considering the difficulty of the rest of the file, but it works as you have it to set up the upcoming sections.
Nothing really makes it stand out from other similar difficulty JS files, but it was solidly stepped and enjoyable to play.
I loved the overall structure of the file and how it gradually built up to the long multi-layered stream in the ending. Patterns were good and felt awesome to hit (after 10 or so restarts because my video card is a wimp). GJ Sanzath!
SDGing this is going to take genuine luck...I need lag spikes to happen in low density sections. <<

I would love to help (I often play the songs as soon as they come out), but I usually know little about the new songs and I know even less about describing the technicality of files (I don't even know the time count to color conversions). And being a mid-range player also makes it hard to describe harder songs. I assume there must be someone more qualified who would be interested in doing some activity posts. I probably volunteer for too many things already (just not on FFR since I can't do anything).
Best AAAs: Gacha Gacha Cute Figu atto Mate [56], Song of the second moon [52], Musicmaker RX [52], Wish (Reprise) [51], Nyanyanyanyanyanyanya! [51], Exogenesis [51]
Quest for Scarhand: 3+ blackflags on Pure In Asia, blackflag on Iced Innocence
2020 update: all of these got bumped up 4 (rip Scarhand unlock), rusty, new AAA Power Rocket [56?]
2021 semiannual return: Connect (HOUSE SOUL REMIX) [57] (was blackflag from 2013), second blackflag on Call Upon the Seaponies; 2023: Polar 240 [56]
BFs: 127 and counting (as of 2013-11-10)
Kirby Smash - Now that I play this again, I don't enjoy it as much anymore. The file feels inconsistent with your choice of layering, swing (you had 24th, 32nd, 64th swing in different places, not sure if the song warrants that or not...), etc. You went all over the place in the ending as well, but I guess it's better than your earlier versions of this file. On a positive note, I thought the 24th accents were a nice gesture, since Kirby IS pink after all. Keep learning and improving, Xiz.
PUNK FLUFFY UNICORNS DANCING ON RAINBOWS - Interesting song choice... This file stayed consistent throughout, PR was excellent, and had an interesting color quad in the middle. Good job, YoshL.
S.E.B. in B.E.D. - Something about the middle part just had me dancing to the song and file, lol. It's not a perfect file, but it was certainly the most fun in the bunch. The 64th and 24th accents were a nice touch as well. Hope to see more from you.
Shade - Going to beat a dead horse with this review. Shows a good variety of patterns, especially since the song is mainly a repeating drum pattern with a multitude of grace notes. Speaking of the grace notes, the PR for them were far from decent... kind of makes it feel like you randomly placed them without thinking of PR. The file overall is just a snoozefest, but I suppose you are getting better, at least.

As a guy who has done front page posts before, I can personally confirm it takes basically zero knowledge of stepping or music critique or anything FFR-related to make a front page post.
If you have a basic knowledge of HTML, you can write one. The hardest part is really just getting the formatting and all the links correct, after that you just google the artist and write some bullshit about them or the song or whatever and you're done.
