Re: FFR 6th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 4
Played through the D2 song... Doesn't seem like the difficulty has increased that much. 3rd time playing it I got down to 3 goods clean (for the last two rounds I have had a blackflag). But, it is a good song & stepchart.

Re: FFR 6th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 4
LMAO
edit: alright the reviews are in.. partially Jumper -For a swing file, I actually enjoyed it which is rare for me.. might of been the music choice. -I thought there were some jumps missing to match the clap -Ending 12th stream was fun -6.5/10 Sunless Daybreak -Funnest file this round -Great song choice -The 16th bursts flowed quite well and were extremely fun -Only issue I found was the lack of layering/jumps through section 480~660 -Ending was A+ -9.5/10 Winter Dream -Gallops were fun but I thought they got repetitive and were abused from 435~550 (I might of put in 16th stream instead?) -The 48th-32nd rolls as well as the 24th stream/jumpstreams were all quite fun and a nice change of pace -7/10 Don't have time for the other 3 just yet.. Anyway who the hell is it around here that rates chart difficulties? If Haclyon [Xi] is an FMO, Jamais Deux is a goddamn VC. Give your heads a shake And while we're at it, why is corecore still sitting at 11 and BEER at 12? Inconsistencymanias. Last edited by Mike Weedmark; 12-7-2011 at 09:37 AM.. |

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 4 has started!
No offense, but why can't we just ignore difficulty incosistence for one single round and play the songs

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 4 has started!
It wouldn't bother me if it was just a little bit, but it's like FFR doesn't even have someone responsible for this. Halcyon an FMO? So, when can I expect to see Free Space in VC and RATO in Tricky? If I get really lucky, maybe my first FGO AAA can be Same Dream.

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 4 has started!
Normally jimerax rates the files, but AJ and Kayla currently rate the files for the tournament. Inconsistent difficulties is nothing new...but is certainly worth addressing soon.

So far you're the only person I've seen that's said Halcyon is like a hardish 12.

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 4 has started!
I could see it go either way, although lean towards keeping it as FMO

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 4 has started!
Maybe I just SUCK right now and need a few days away from this game. But if it is an FMO, it's the hardest one, period.

Although people are already getting mid sdgs on it...so maybe it's not as hard as I thought it was. |

I think Toxiferous takes the hard cake for FMOs, just my opinion.

A lot of those I don't even notice, but I was talking about the community, who so far has gone nuts if a file was rated wrong. So far this round hasn't really had that.

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 4 has started!
I'm certainly not saying it isn't hard. I thought it was borderline, but noticed that people hadn't gone nuts about the 11 rating thus far which was why I mentioned it. Really I just hate it when people are basically calling us idiots because difficulties are "inconsistent" When it's impossible to be dead accurate with different types of skills being stressed and people being good at different things. But anyway, this isn't the ingame song discussion thread so I'm gonna shut up now.

Halcyon is pretty hard. definitely find it harder than Time to Eye. But wouldn't really bother with it since it's mostly VC.

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 4 has started!
2cents,
The D5 song is an FMO. It's hard but it's not ridiculous. Aside from a few patterns (and if you suck at jumpstream) it really isn't FGO material, but all things considered it passes for an 11 for sure.

I don't know how recent the Toxi one is, but I've been getting sub-50g on average FGOs lately. In any case, I'm not in the tournament, so there's no reason for me not to take a break from FFR and maybe go SM for a while. And to keep this post relevant, I should comment on some tournament songs: D1 and D2 are obvious sightreads for me, but Sunless Daybreak was very fun to play either way. Wiinter Dream is the funnest song this round imo. No surprise, it's rare for a bmah file not to be one of the best charts on FFR. For Sambista, I like the intro. It's rare for the first few notes of a VC to actually be interesting, but this song makes it interesting and tricky in a way that isn't annoying, but actually relevant. Really like Sambista. Halcyon is an awesome song and nothing about its chart other than the FMO rating can get criticism from me. Mourning the Lost is lol. Wayyyyy beyond me, but I don't regret it being added. SOME DAY... >=D Last edited by Mike Weedmark; 12-7-2011 at 10:29 AM.. |
