Networking is such an important skill to have. It's a shame that it isn't "taught" more... but it's really more of a "street smart" skill in terms of being able to sell yourself and expand your name.

Yep! He was lucky enough to know someone in the business already.
I'm hoping to get in to a nice company with my IS major that I am currently a part of. Networking landed me an internship finally at NewDay Financial (MD branch) to be a Network Admin! Yes, networking is an amazing skill. ^ I just realized what I said was really redundant...

I despise networking. I hated it so much in college that I made a point to never schmooze with potential employers.
I am now back in school working on a teaching certification while my schoozing college friends have big jobs. Oh well. I couldn't stand being in business anyway.
