When it comes to disliking musical artists for their unwarranted fame because they sound like a gallimaufry of street animals and synthesized diarrhoea, I'm dead fucking serious.

![]() They were the first terrible ones to come to mind. An extensive list might break the internet.

![]() Rihanna's okay, idk I like the beats her songs usually have but I tend to ignore her singing.
I think I might pick Taio Cruz for his Imagine cover. or Flava Flav, he's always irritating although Kanye is my pick for least likable motherfucker alive, a lot of people enjoy his work and I can't really judge, having listened to maybe 1 song of his. possibly Ke$ha Although, I have to say, I gained some respect for Kesha when I read an interview where she was pretty level-headed and deviously sarcastic. Her music is still piss though. And Lady GaGa is kind of awesome actually, I really dig the over-the-top music and accompanying attitude.

![]() They should have kept weezy in jail imo.
Pretty much mainstream artists suck, like everyone else said. I still <3 deadmau5 though. He's the #4 actual "best dj" in the world, right? |

Take it to GBin.
As for Lil' Wayne, it's called "hash-tag" rapping. I don't like it because they are all incomplete sentences, representing incomplete thoughts, which is dumb when it comes to a genre where the music is predominantly the lyrics. I'll stick to Atmosphere, Aesop, Cannibal Ox, and El-P, thanks. According to DJ Mag or whatever, yes. But Armin Van Buren is their #1 and I think his releases are pop trash, if that puts things into perspective for you. |

Also, Lil'Wayne's songs are nothing but a bunch of 1 liners strung together that the studio crew works with until it doesn't make them vomit.

![]() Let's just kick back and hope for a re-spawning of the 60's-70's when there was good music with wholehearted lyrics and none of this mainstream bullshit. RANT TIME GOGOGO:
Breakdown: Lady GaGa: She has grown on me, her weird fashion crap is just a re-hash of people like Elton John/David Bowie but her music isn't really bad in fact it can be quite catchy and I've heard many good remixes of her stuff, I look forward to hearing what she comes out with in May. Ke$ha: I only kind of like one of her songs "Take it Off" because it's catchy and it takes the chord progression of an old classical piece and the video is interesting, but generally she is awful and sounds better with the auto-tune/voice mod software. Bieber: I can't stand any of his stuff and everything he does is one giant mediocre mess. He is certainly multi-talented for his age but I think he's trying to be a one-boy boy band and thinks he's the shit and some ghetto mastermind and yet he's some ignorant white kid from Canada. Really, Usher? Katy Perry: I don't know what everyone has against her, I actually like her music and she's one of the people in the mainstream with a decent voice. While I don't agree with her choice in men and she flaunts 'it' a little too much I find much of her stuff to be catchy and fun. Deadmau5: Although much of his stuff is a bit generic, he is hella fun to see live and has done some cool collabs and definitely works his stuff well. Brokencyde: They are just awful. Metal and rap generally shouldn't touch eachother unless you can pull of a powermix with GOOD lyrics in the nu-metal or rap/metal genre AKA Linkin Park (who is probably the only group who has seriously pulled this off). Plus the fact that they are, again, stupid assholes who think they are top of the world. Lil' Wayne: Most of his stuff is trash, although I hate him as a person and thought it was obnoxious that he was the first thing I would be presented with in 2011 (damn you NBC) I found that some of his older stuff was more well thought out and mixed. Kanye: Basically, a giant living douche. Everyone is saying how creative and talented he is. He is just being douche-like and stealing things that people have been saying in better and more musically interesting ways for years. Apparently he is trying to disclude himself from the "douchebag" or "asshole" category in his new hit. Nicki Minaj: Another obnoxious rapp-ette as I like to call them. She is about as important as Bono's fecal matter. Nothing she has done thrills me in the slightest, however she has (unfortunately) been collabed in songs I enjoy. Rhianna: I'm tired of hearing her voice, it's incredibly nasal and whiny. The only songs of hers I semi-enjoyed were her collab with Maroon 5, her new dance song because it's mixed to all hell, and Umbrella (only when done by the 3 million other artists that covered it) Drake: Hey Jimmy, where's your wheelchair? Anyways, I find him terribly overrated and only like a couple songs of his when he sings rather than raps. Generally his collabs are garbage and he even sounds annoying when he raps. Jason Derulo: How could nobody mention him? God what a conceited bastard. I HATE when people state their names in songs. He's a very mediocre voice (he was awful live on tv), an okay dancer, and a crap personality. Thank you Chelsea Handler for fucking with him (and not fucking him). Tre Songz: Just... ugh.

^ Not meant to be negative, because I literally agree with just about everything you said. Given, I don't know some of them you mentioned [Deadmau5 and Drake are 2] but your opinions on the rest are pretty much dead on with mine. Especially Jason Derulo XD I'm surprised I forgot about him too.
+1, approved.

![]() I'm going based off a norm for the quality of music of general performers. Yes, much of it is my opinion, but I'm looking at much of it from a standpoint as a singer/musician myself. Such as I have learned, oftentimes the OPINION of a "master" or such professional in a field can be taken as fact. Otherwise, majority-rules type deals go into effect, again if a majority were to agree with me it could be taken down as a fact, even if a simple major opinion would be its base. I thought that it was unnecessary for you to take all the time just to do that as clearly it was already IMO (for the most part).

Also sorry I'm stupid for not appreciation an artist with no talent. If it's about what he's saying I might be wrong but I honestly don't expect anything intelligent to come out of that guy and I can't really understand him so I don't know how I'll ever really know without looking up his lyrics. ![]() I'm not saying anybody's opinion is worth less. I'm saying what you're saying with the only difference of saying I think Lil'Wayne is a bad artist cause he lacks any sort of talent. I think people just listen to that crap for persona. That is something you can say "In my opinion" as I may be wrong, and talent really isn't subjective. Maybe I just don't understand why people like him, but I personally doubt it.

Personal preference does definitely play a strong part in the whole argument, but evidence proves that certain artists have fanbases and talent for a reason. My problem with rap is that the lyrics are so overblown, played out, and meaningless these days and most of the people representing it are just personally obnoxious. I MEAN SERIOUSLY, PULL UP YOUR FUCKING PANTS.

![]() And the "Most Hating on music" Award goes too? "Drum Roll".............FFR's thread called "Worst Artists of the Year".lmao Everyone has different views of what is called music. Get used to there being horrible artists. If music always sounded amazing we wouldnt have anything to talk about and laugh at. Either turn off the radio and put in a CD or Plug your ears.

![]() Sometimes bad music is hard to avoid. Fun events can often play awful music unfortunately, simply because it's popular. But I give Willow Smith props for being 11 and even semi-talented. It's rather impressive considering her age, just like that kid Greyson Chance. I just wish they would allow these kids to grow away from the spotlight a bit more before being thrust into it because people won't remember them when they may actually come out with some really good stuff. I have high hopes for the youth of the world but I also hope that the media doesn't fuck up some possible future geniuses before their time.
