Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Ya you better believe it
It's pretty good too. You got a whole bunch of rhythms wrong and stuff >_< The first part, the snare rolls? They're swung by a 24th and it feels so wrong to play them as 16ths JX is probably going to find some arrow that's 0.1mm out of its proper position, but overall I'd say its a decent file.

well, he's older than me(just realized on ffr it's only a month) and i've been around for 2 years, and he is one of the best steppers from then/now. that's what i was aiming for.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
oh and I wanted to ask something
when I play a song in ffr some of the notes seem slightly out of place it's particularly noticable in death piano's 12th jacks where they come all staggered looking what's going on there, is it some barrier to perfect quantization on ffr? and should I be accounting for it in any submissions I make?

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Yeah, the notes get snapped. Don't bother trying to account for it.
IIRC it has to do with the beating between the BPM of the song and the framerate.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
FFR runs at 30 frames per second. aka, notes can only be placed on 30 spots within a second of time. So if you have long jack sections that aren't the exact proper bpm to match up evenly with the framerate (like 180bpm 8th jacks are perfectly 5 frames apart), such as 185bpm 8th jacks, you'll have most notes that are 5 frames apart, but some that are 4.
what can be done about it? increase the framerate. but that creates all kinds of other issues... every single level would have to be re-converted, the timing window would have to be changed, and there would be much more lag for many users.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Dood and robertsona...
Here's a good song to consider stepping. I'll even give you the sync. I've actually started stepping it myself but I scrapped it and like 6 other projects when I realized it'll probably be like '09 by the time they get judged lmao Anyway, here: #TITLE:Zeromus Battle; #SUBTITLE:-FF4 Final Boss Theme-; #ARTIST:S.S.H.; #MUSIC:Final Fantasy 4 - Zeromus Battle.mp3; #OFFSET:0.248; #BPMS:0.000=196.000;

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
it'll only be 09 before they're judged because you send in 45 files.
