Misread this one. I thought you had to go for the special ending to get the normal points. Lost first place because of that. Oh well. I hope that chicken is Cucoo meat...

 amazing how easy it was the 2nd time around.... the purple warriors and the final boss both took the same strategy... just a matter of figuring that out, which took a few tries for me.

 edit: whoops... looks like i saved it as a gif by accident. meh. edit2: figured out that if i blow the whole thing up and play not only fullscreen, but also play with my monitor turned so it's vertical, i can actually get a decent score. then shrunk it back down so it was a normal sized SS.

Golden Axe was prolly one of my all-time favorite Sega game... I still play it from time to time.
