this is a waste of space

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Despite my files having relatively easy to fix problems I don't feel like fixing them. Oh well, sucks to be lazy. Also sucks to not have any files to send to the next batch, which will be the first time since, like, Feb '07.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
****. Forgot my Wish file had both charts still in it, and I bet the old crappy version was judged so now I'll have to send the file in even more to get proper notes. ****.
Eh...You guys probably don't remember, but did you judge the Heavy or the Oni steps? |

Multi difficulty is taken as 100% your own fault, so be careful plz.
I didn't auto-reject those this time though. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Yeah, I thought I deleted the older chart but I got mixed up with the two SM versions I have (zipped up the wrong folder). Do you remember which difficulty you judged? It would just help for when I send in the file for the next batch...So I know if there are things I should still fix up. I wouldn't want to make changes when the notes were on the wrong difficulty. Hmm...Probably would have been better to auto-reject it to avoid this confusion, haha. Anyways, sorry about that.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
just read the comments on flames of the sky... yeah, everyone says it's long and I agree. patterns... do you mean stuff like the constantly repeating sets of only 2 arrows for a few secconds? that was Fluuk. maybe when we cut this track once it could become a whole lot better. what do you think?

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
{Big Boss} (Silvuh) [?]
-Badly overlayered 12th jack part, inconsistencies throughout -The other one is way better {Big Boss} (Silvuh) [+? / 5.5] missing jumps on m1/m5, 24th on m7 isn't needed. misrhythms on m10/14/42 (actually 48th + 64th, and need better pattern/modification) some jumps on the yellow note/jack placement are weird. {Big Boss} (Silvuh) [?] - many misrhythms, seemingly inconsistent jack usage, weird double placement, mixed 12ths and 16ths very awkward It's upsetting knowing that you didn't like the polyrhythm in {Big Boss}. It's musically accurate and (at least in my eyes) quite a fun pattern. Paragraph that doesn't matter: m1/m5: I intentionally didn't put jumps there, because I didn't want it interrupting with the 16ths. m7: There's definitely the sound on the 24 there, so I don't see why not. m10/14/42: I knew it was 48ths and 64ths, but don't you think that would have been too hard? I didn't think 32nds would be too hard for the file because of the polyrhythm.. jump jacks: The 8th there echoes sometimes, so I put jacks there. And there's a jump when there's also a drum beat there. What's weird about the double placement? I placed doubles on that one noise that begins the song (except for m 1/5 and those parts where there wasn't any, so I put jumps to the other prevailing beat). Brenton (bmah) had played both V4N's and my files, and he guessed you would like V4N's more, that mine didn't have any chance compared to his... He also guessed you wouldn't like the jump-jacks or the polyrhythm... Blah, I shouldn't have bothered sending in the file. Arf... I'll fix up Moonlight River and send that in as my resubmit. I'll correct Lost in Mind and Blue-Violet some and send those in two again... And, hah, I need to send in Procrastination on a Paper again because there were some rolls I should have changed earlier. And for the three new files, I'll send in Rain, After Altair (an easy file), and ... I don't know, Ninja Lad or Spacedust or something. |

What the hell is a polyrhythm?
Also, thanks Tass, I'll remember to do it that way next time.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Response for complaints as usual.
>> Operation When I don't specify the measure, usually there're way too many issues in the file and I don't have enough time for being that helpful for everyone sry. >> behan I played PE challenge. lol Tass, it's pretty obvious that challenge should be used. >> Hammy played Wish challenge. >> Silvuh m1/m5 - it just hurts consistency IMO m7 - the sound doesn't have enough strong attack for putting arrows m10 - I wasn't saying you actually step 48th+64ths but your rhythm arragement was just bad. probably the worst jump placement is m48 yellow one, and few others. didn't see any good reasons. V4N's one is accepted but obviously has some consistency/rhythm issues that should be tweaked sry. Last edited by jimerax; 08-20-2008 at 08:00 AM.. |

(From my {Big Boss} file)
If that doesn't answer your question, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyrhythm Quote:
Also, I'm completely restepping Moonlight River, 'cause it would be hard to.. well, fix everything without restepping it due to the layering. But I deleted the old steps, so now I have no idea what the comments in the batch notes are referring to. Whoops. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Yeah I got it basically the moment I looked at it. 12th and 16th notes that go at the same time make a sort of 5 note rhythm. A polyrhythm. I believe there are polyrhythms in Death Piano for FFR. The StepMania version is a really hard to hit polyrhythm.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I just call that another kind of layering, but w/e
ps this thread should be linked to somewhere in this forum http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=82080 that's doubles as a guide to "how to get your simfile accepted into FFR" too, with this added: -Don't put any freezes or mines in your file -Don't put hands in your file unless it would be rated FMO+ in the game

for Tass, the date of the last batch should be 8/19/08 instead of 8/9/08.
