Score! I managed to go from Level 10 to 12 today. My stats are now 5/5/49/15, and I have 5 in MP recovery, 7 in MP Increase (which I could be using for Magic Claw) and 1 in Magic Bolt. I've also noticed my magic is becoming more powerful. Now, I can OHK Red Snails, and take 1-2 hits from Magic Bolt to take down a Slime. I guess starting over really was a smart move after all.

This is a sorta noobish question but where is Ossyria and how do you get there? Also, what is the point of Orbis? The dungeon was kinda hard for me, and there were almost no shops...

You need to get to ellinia's sixtopia station and then buy a ticket and board the ship to go to oss. I dunno how much prices are in the other servers but for us MapleSEA players it's 80k there and 20k back... When oss first started it was 100k there 100k back, then they reduced it to 100k there 10k back, and now this... Scary. The point of Orbis is to let higher level players train in a place away from bloody noobs who keep begging money from you and for you to get better drops and buy better weaponry and do Zakum's quest (if it's ever out in MapleSEA) Mages (about level 40 and above) totally rule in Oss. Muahahaha.

Orbis is a city in Ossyria. It's the name for the whole island.
Maple Island -> Victoria Island -> Ossyria Island. And eventually, if we ever get to be like jMS, we'll have Ludibrium and OUR variation of Jipang. ~Squeek |

As for Orbis, it is a city in Ossyria. It is the city you will land in when you reach Ossy. Orbis has all the level 30 equipment for every class, metrosexual hair at the salon, and some points of interest. On the right side of Orbis are 2 portals. The top one goes to the park, where you'll find various pixies. From there you can get to the gardens, where you will find cat-like creatures that drop solid horns. You've probably heard of these. You can exchange 100 of these (and certain other items) to a guy in Orbis. He gives you 500 exp and some random items for every set of 100 you turn in. The rewards aren't great for solid horns, but you can get so many pretty easily and then give them to a low level character and level them up without fighting. Now, if you to the bottom exit from Orbis, you will enter Orbis Tower. This is a 20 floor tower that descends all the way to the snowfields of El Nath. El Nath is a snowy place with lots of hard ice creatures (hence why a lot of people (myself included) love being fire mages ). Simply being outside below the tower (and not in El Nath itself) makes you lose 10 hp every 10 seconds. This can be stopped being eating red bean soup, which is available in the El Nath potion shop. Speaking of shop, El Nath contains many high level armors for all classes that can't be found ANYWHERE ELSE, other than dropping from monsters. A lot of people will journey here and get their higher equipment and then leave. I don't suggest going down there unless you're at least like, 35 or so. It's quite difficult getting back up the tower at low levels.Speaking of tower, halfway down (on floor 10) is a hole you can enter. There is a guy in there that will give you tower scrolls in exchange for a certain number of sentinel pieces (sentinels and jr. sentinels can be found throughout the tower). I suggest always doing this quest when you pass through the tower. I never go back up the tower. I fight my way down, get 5 scrolls on the way, and teleport back up once I'm at the bottom. Also, some people will pay quite a bit for those scrolls, especially if they're stuck in El Nath with no way up. ![]() EDIT: My post > both of yours PS: www.hidden-street.net has maps of Ossy and stuff, so you can see all the areas and what kinds of monsters there are. It also lists what you can get from the exchange quest. EDIT2: I almost forgot. Let's play a game called I do more damage than you: ![]() PS: I didn't get a ss of it, but I fought mushmom (and only had to use like, 5 pots). I would have killed her completely except for the level 44 archer that was way more accurate and did more consistent damage to her. I knocked her back quite a few times, though. ![]()

Let's play a better game, shall we? Since damage doesn't matter much to me.
I fly down that tower in less than 2 minutes if I'm not getting the scroll section done and less than 5 minutes with getting the 45 Jr, 20 Ice, and 20 Fire pieces. I have equipment that I found on my own that lets me run at 2/3 of the speed of Haste. If I use a Speed potion, I nearly match it. The stuff is worth over 2 million. I've now given out 30,000,000 mesos without a retarded 2x meso. I have 8 million in my inventory and over 50,000,000 in items. I never use Magic Guard even in the most dangerous places because I have 1,090 HP. Of course, that's with my HP suit. I can survive Tauromacis, Taurospear, Yeti and Pepe, Dark Yeti and Pepe, Werewolves, and a few other baddies without Hyper Body and without Magic Guard. There are only four enemies left in the game that I can't take without Guard, and two of them are bosses. Jr. Balrog and Crimson Balrog are the bosses (and let me tell you, I've faced the Crimson in a party. The guy hurts. I lived, but if you're not a Warrior or a Magician, you won't... even with Hyper Body. He has an attack that does 4,000+ damage). Bains and Lycanthropes are the others. Bains are fine if I just run into them as it's 1,400 damage - 30% (Invincible). But their magical attack does 1,500 damage and I can't use Invincible against that. Lycanthropes are the same way. Both Bains and Lycans are easy with Hyper Body. Therefore, I sometimes solo Mushmom and Werewolves, and I do it without Magic Guard. I can handle Mushmom without even my HP suit. When I job advance on the weekend (Don't worry. I WILL tape it for you all), I'll be the first to do it without Magic Guard on. And I've been voted as the "Cleric Legend" among the Magician community on Sleepywood. And the huge guide I wrote is now up in the Magician section, so check it out. Well, there's my credentials. My Archer got to level 15 on the first set of 4,000 or so teeth I gave him and I already have 2,000 more. I'm waiting until the exact moment when I run out of inventory space, then I run back to Orbis to give them to him and get him to 20...hopefully. I'm following a guide, so I'm not being stupid with my STR (Sorry about that...). He has maxed the distance thingy, 3 to open it, and 5 in Focus. When Focus gets to 9, I start Critical. He still has his level 10 bow because I haven't bought him a crossbow yet -.- And yes, he will be a Crossbowman. I'm getting him to 30 without training him ever. It's excellent incentive to level my Cleric and give him the teeth they drop. ~Squeek |

Why a bowman? It's common knowledge that warriors are the best class and they totally kick ass the moment they hit level 40-50 and above, isn't it?

Warriors are boring and stupid, and if I want to play one, I have two accessible to me. A level 43 BW Page and a level 43 Spear Spearman. I hate playing their accounts. It's so dull.
Archers rule. For one, they're ranged and all, but they don't use stars like Assassins. After Soul Arrow gets points, you never use arrows. Plus, they just rule. ~Squeek |

So are you saying my endeavor to become a Mage means I won't kick ass?

You'll only kick ass if you're a fire mage. Otherwise, yeah, you won't kick nearly as much ass as other things. ;_; 4 u.

So says YingYangTwin. =/ Anyways, I'm a Level 13 (whoa that was quick!) and I finally maxed out MP Increase bitches. I like to MP Pot so for now on, I'll be putting 2 in Magic Claw, and 1 in MP Recovery, until I need to make my job change.

Crossbowman is my favorite class, my level 30 one got hacked though, so I abandoned him and started my Bandit. I still sometimes wonder where I would be if that never happened. I broke 700 damage at level 30 with him. ^^

That all depends on your definition of kicking ass.
You can do 1000 damage, but I can clear this whole herd in 10 seconds. ![]()

I ate 17 slices of bacon one time. Could have had more, too, but I didn't want to keel over and die.
Now I'm hungry.

Psh, I eat bacon for BREAKFAST!
No seriously, I have like 8 pieces of bacon every morning, and even more than that when I'm hungry. Anywho, I could clear that heard out, too, they would just take me 2 hits each rather than 1. But can you 1hk Jr. Pepes? Hell, can you even knock Jr. Pepes back? Can you hurt Jr. Yetis? Can you go to El Nath and have fun at all? Didn't think so!

Squeek, that would impress me, but a new dupe is out. It's already being abused on ebay.
Sup. That person is most likely using a hex editor and just lying, but nonetheless, people are going to start abusing the memory check it took everyone forever to notice. |
