The Pixies album fluctuates too much from being really fun to just kind of boring on drums. I wouldn't recommend getting it.

Okies, thanks Mal! I guess I will just buy the songs by The Pixies I like. They had to add one of their worst albums to the game.

That one is pretty bitching. The drums are really slow but there are some fast patterns in the middle, IIRC, that are good.

I want Stratosphere by Stratovarius on Rock Band! Come on it has Rock Band all over it! It has no vocals though... Oh and I didn't like a single THE Pixies song :/

Well... there goes my next paycheck...

In other news, I finally managed to pass Dead on Arrival, drums. Now I'm stuck on Don't Fear the Reaper. A mental block on the ending parts is really messing me up. But, on a positive note, I'm happy that Foreplay/Longtime didn't give me any trouble on Expert. Passed it first try, somehow, and I'm semi close to getting a 5 star on it.

Still working on Conquering the world, but I'm only about half way done with that. My partner gets really bored of it quickly and really hates to play a lot now.

He'll come around. A friend of mine one day who didn't like to play as much as he used to just said, "Alright. Let's do the Endless Setlist." I was like Wooo!

>_> Probably. But I just like the Stratosphere one, their other songs are pretty gay.

So 'cause of Rock Band I've been listening some more (white) rock music, and I noticed a song by Led Zeppelin: Stairway to Heaven, ever coming to Rock Band? D:

too bad there going to fall behind if they dont start developement on a RB2 ... download content only goes so far.. with Guitar Hero: World Tour's promise of drums that are more realistic[6 pads], a microphone, and online things that werent included in RB [such as BvB and online band career]. not to mention BEING ABLE TO MAKE YOUR OWN MUSIC! rockbands going to be blown out of the water...

and what is going to be my second favorite thing about it.... you can play any instrument from the same profile, instead of having to remake your profile between instruments... which really doesnt make sence... if i was a good guitar player. and i started playing drums, who says i couldnt use some gig money from my guitar to get a better drum kit?

but ofcoarse my favorite thing about the new guitar hero is the music recording... that opens up ALOT of doors.. cant wait to see it >.<

my only hope is that the guitar hero guitar will be more like the rockband one in the sence that the buttons are flush with the neck.. makes it feel more natural

but until then, i guess im going to keep on trying to get better at rockband =/

first of all no you just get five pads and rock band gets seven

second of all, rock band 2 has all of that

Hey, guys, I've never hooked up my LAN to my 360, but when I do, I have a feeling I'm going to buy all of the DLC.

So I ask, how is purchase done? Do I just put in a credit card number right there in the game, or is there some sort of "buying points" step that must come before (like how downloading things on Wii works)? As a slightly aside sort of question, is it hard to get setup onto live?

ps glad to hear what tokzic said above about playing any instrument on a single profile... I hated having to make 3 separate characters (each with a different name... I think I had to name one of them "afrombean" because I had already used "Afrobean" and "Chris" on the others).

Buy ms points. You can do it through the 360 but they cost more. If you don't want to go to any gameshop that sells them for any reason you can buy points online at https://www.gamepointsnow.com

They'll email you the code as soon as your card clears. A lot faster and easier. You redeem the code in 360 live tab on your console as you probs already know.

Also you may want to buy songs through the 360 marketplace tab opposed to through the shop on Rockband. The difference being you can play whilst they download. If you do it in the shop on Rockband you have to wait for the songs to download before doing anything else. Through marketplace you can set up a download que and play while they download.

They're already looking like copiers for taking the drum and vocals addition, even in a game which is still holding the name "Guitar Hero".
