Then again, these were the friends who suggested I get SR before ER and totally screwed my character over. So nevermind.

Works for me. Honestly, just get one in it, then work on the Pre-Reqs for HS. I'd still say to get 1 SR. I'd still say 1 Door too. Then work on HS followed by ER.

So I bought 9 100% dex scrolls and scrolled my old sauna robe (must've failed a scroll on it somewhere along the line. oh well.) and bought a maple crow and 6 xbow scrolls, so I'll scroll it at 35. Wooo.

While in JMS I've fought things that could 2hk me without MG and alternated claw/heal without dying. That was scary cuz it was JMS and I was super laggy, but in GMS I think I could do it just fine. I've seen priests at GPW alternating heal/SR quite a few times. I don't see the point in more than 1 SR early on, but maxing it eventually seems like a good idea.

Also, Doom is the suckage. I would get one point and no more. Anything you're training on regularly you'll be able to take hits from and you'd be healing yourself constantly. Anything bigger you would fight rarely, so you could afford to waste a few rocks on them to make them a snail. That, or you'd have your favorite fire mage with you sealing and slowing them. ;D

ALSO, I FORGET, BUT DOES DOOM CANCEL OUT ELEMENTAL ADVANTAGE? I KNOW YOU CAN STILL HEAL THINGS, BUT IF YOU DOOMED A GRIM WOULD I STILL DO 1.5X WITH FIRE!?

Oh. Anyways... Apparently I pissed someone off, even though I haven't played in like 5 days. Today I got like 5 people randomly come up to me, smile, and defame me. They were all level 3x-4x and probably didn't speak english due to their name (like elChicoGreat or something like that and GrandeBow). SIgh I will never understand how fame is important lol :P Its more the fact that there are people that pissed off at me to try and "hurt" me? I find it funny, yet kinda sad =/

I couldn't level today because I couldn't get a zombie map. Bonk, Elly, and I had one for a while but we lost it.
I went from 40 to 85%. I will level tomorrow and get hermit, then go fight Pie-Anus.

The original video was made back in like October of last year I believe when 3rd job was relatively new so the priest doesn't have ER. Still, my point is that SR isn't useless, but doom isn't either.

Prime reasons to have a skill:

#1: Training.

#2: Boss fights.

#3: goofing around.

See how low goofing around is? Doom and SR both fit under that category for me, but doom is definitely more fun than SR (max SR that is... level 1 SR isn't a bad idea).

EDIT: btw noah, check out that video. The priest uses SR on a doom'd thanatos.

From that video (when she's fighting phantom watches), I can see that Doom definitely kills elemental advantage. She was most definitely doing 1.5x more on the non-Doomed ones. =\

Btw, that video is OLD AS CRAP. It was one of the vids that went through heavy circulation cuz everybody was like ZOMG WHAT IS THIRD JOB LIKE I WANNA KNOW after they hit 70 and we didn't have stuff. That's why the names of the skills are super-imposed on top of the video, so that people will know wtf everything is.

But seriously, there are only a few ways Doom is better than Slow/Seal. With Doom, the things only do 1 dmg and are small so you can get around them (can't really teleport through a thanatos or FJ over it). However, the fact that Doom kills elemental advantage makes me think **** DOOM. Does it work on bombs in boss fights, though? I don't know if Seal will keep suicide monsters from launching their attack, but if Doom does then I can see the purpose in the boss fight.

But lemme see...151 points for 3rd job, 180 total points' worth of skills. So really, what 29 points do you wanna pull out of skills...I would keep Door at 1 and pull 10 out of Doom. 15 seconds instead of 20 is fine, 80% success instead of 90% is still fine, and a lil more MP per cast is nothing. Given how rarely you'll use it (and how willing people are to give away rocks), it won't matter if you have to recast a couple times. As far as order to get stuff, here's what I'd do:

1 ER -> 3 Dispel -> Max HS -> 1 Door -> Max ER -> Max Dragon (since I tend to solo since people tend to hate partying me >=( and since I wouldn't plan on doing boss battles that need max dispel) -> Max Dispel (since by now I'd at least wanna do some bosses that might seal) -> Max SR -> 20 Doom

BUT THAT'S JUST WHAT I'D DO. I still need to get on somebody's priest and see how Dragon acts, though. Even if it is pretty craptastic, I still would like to have it active while going up and down at Grims or Squids so I could help the attackers a lil bit. Then again, people might not like that cuz it may mess up agro and mobbing. =\

Is it really that bad to have 95 base dex at lvl 110 on my DK? I mean I still cant hit everything 100+ with a dex pill, and that puts me up to 110 dex.

Everyone I ask in game tells me they have 65 - 75 dex, and Im not spending $90 just to change my char stats -_-.. or is it worth it? g2g bell just rang to get to class FCK
