all it says is signups are over on June 8th, doesnt say if divisions will be posted that night, or the 9th or 10th or what

They'll be posted as soon as they exist. Could take us anywhere from 1 day to 3 days I'd imagine, depends how many people are ranked really closely together etc.

Talisman, what do you mean by "grand prix" format? I've either never done anything like that, or it was called by another name.

I'm assuming he means free-for-all, which is what -every- round is going to be like.

That or he wants the round to be made up of several songs like a track circuit...that's not going to happen.

practice. You seem good already if you can sdg fmo's Just work it a little more to be able to get a few fmo AAA's

I can only SDG easy ones; NWE, SC, BF, that new colourful one. Thats it.

no, free for all is given.

what I mean by grand prix is that once each division gets down to 16 players, no one is eliminated.

instead, you get points according to how well you place on each week's song (something like 32 - 15 - 10 - etc for first second third and on). The winner is the person at the end who has the most points.

alternatively, you could only do this up to the final week, when the top two point holders play the final song by themselves.

it's like a grand prix in the sense that each week is a new "course" but everyone gets to play ("race") in each one.

ps this also addresses the issue (if it is an issue anymore with jacks fixed) of people having "bad" songs that they get unlucky enough to draw early on when they could have beaten the scores of those who advanced on later songs.

The way I'm seeing things right now is the people who keep complaining or wondering what division they'll be in probably dont have the nessicary skills to win any of the divisions (aka PA). If you're a good player, thats cool. If you're not a good player, thats cool too. Sprite will be looking at all the possible information he needs to place people in the best division for them, so have faith guys and girls. No matter what division you're put in for this tournament, you're going to have to bring your A game.

It also seems that out of an expected 2000 people, a whole lot of people expect to take 1st, 2nd or 3rd place of their division. I'm not saying that's nessicarily a bad thing, but dont set yourself up for a fall. With only 15 winners out of (give or take) 2000 people, you'll have to be darn good and ready to take anything that comes your way.

Actualy 40 people will win something. 5 divisions, and at minimum, the top 8 are getting the vROFL token. So 40 prizewinners.

But yes, the vast majority of entrants have, unfortunately no chance at all to win.
