Don't talk when you don't have a clue please.

My song, all 5½ minutes of it, was perfectly on sync. I purposely put in very short pauses to offset the notes, adding colour to what would otherwise be a very repetitive and likely boring stepchart.

except the point of a noteskin is to tell the player what the beat of the song is, not to look pretty

trying to be creative with the noteskin is more often than not going to lead to rejection.

Out of curiosity, can we fix Delirium then?
http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...3&postcount=40

At first glance, that's a 4th, 8th, 8th... which makes no sense. However, if you look closely at the spacing, you'll notice that the second blue jump is a little farther away... likely a 64th or something. And yet it's *gasp* BALU!

It's stuff like that which screws me up while playing.

Songs like Silence still haven't been colourized, even though I know it's possible (It was done with Thinking Different, Hanabi, and many others).
Balloon Fever has a huge section with a spam of purple notes.

Also, is it that difficult to fix old songs? You guys took out the super-long-OMG-WTF wait on Lawn Wake, so you obviously have the power to edit the files. Maybe take out stuff like in Chrono, that make stepcharts hell?

Again, not pointing fingers, but if what you say is true, I'm curious as to an answer to these.

Wow, I must have failed this up even worse than I thought, since my file isn't even on the list. Even if it were, it would probably still be in the Nope section. That's about as low as you can go.

But I really need someone to tell me what I need to do in order to fix it.

we don't fix old songs for historical purposes. Synth's orders.

Also, I'd fix Delirium, but I need the .fla, which LD has on some computer that he doesn't use regularly...so perhaps it'll eventually be fixed.

oh and the purple in Balloon Fever is correct. It's 12ths.

Im guessing that they need the original file to be able to "recolor". In other words, they lost it ;.;

By "fix", I'm assuming you mean change the stepchart, not the colours.
What happened to the hellish wait on Lawn Wake?

And also, could we request to get other songs colourized?

goldenwind, you really don't read many threads then...

NONE of the non-noteskinned files are being re-done. that includes silence, fotbb, etc etc. Balloon Fever, Lawn Wake, Hanabi, Thinking Different... ALL had noteskins to begin with. We just fixed them up again once we added more colors to the possible choices for noteskin color.

Delirium hasn't been fixed... YET. There are 2 or 3 others that are noteskin'd files that still need to be fixed... but that is all on when Shash gets time to do it.

AH hahahahahahaha. Telling someone like Mac that he doesn't have a clue pertaining to something about being onsync. Kids these days, what will they do next...

In other news, I just made another file and I'm submitting 2 or 3 to Tass today.

And see, that is good to know.

See, I didn't make this game, Tass. You and your team did. I don't know how it was built, how it is run, or anything. It was only a few weeks ago that I figured out on my own why on Earth jacks might shrink your timing window.

Similarily, I couldn't know which files had noteskins to begin with, and which didn't. I saw songs with all-blue notes, songs with all-red notes (Thinking Different, before it was changed, if my memory is right), etc. How was I to know that the all-blue wasn't just another noteskin?

Still curious about the change to Lawn Wake though =P. I wasn't asking about the colours, but rather the long wait. At the end of Lawn Wake, there was about 20-40 seconds of wait, then a final note. A little while ago, someone took out that last note, taking out the wait completely. Just curious about why that was changed, if you guys are against fixing old files.

And again, I'm not blaming you! I simply just don't get it. And no, I don't read on the forum much. I go on here for this thread, the tournament thread, and to look for music to step.

"Mac" has never played my simfile, now has he? All he reads here is that I have randomly-coloured notes in my simfile, so he instinctively assumes that I'm 64th-syncing my song, instead of using the correct BPM, and then continues to make minutely harsh comments with his assumption.

And now here you are, acting like I'm being immature, when in fact even you didn't know this. You treat me like a kid when you're here basing your opinions off of pure assumption?

Here, since no one seems to understand, I'll post a screenshot.

We actually didn't want to change LWIV's final jump, but it got changed because Kit took out the wait in her original, and then didn't re-add it when we requested the original so we could skin/sync it.

It's probably better off gone, so we're not going to make an effort to put it back...but that's why it was removed.

Also, red note syndrome is an old glitch, so songs with that either have been fixed or will be fixed (except for GGC). Blue note syndrome isn't a glitch, it's just how everything was back in the day.
