One quirk about me is that I'm reluctant to accept favors because I know I'm probably going to be expected to return the favor at some point in the future, and I hate the confrontation that occurs when I say I didn't enter into any agreement of the sort.

Example: I tend to do my own dishes immediately after using them so that I don't have to do anyone else's dishes.

People will always offer me stuff like a drink when I visit and 99% of the time I'll refuse for the same reason at Arch, although there's obviously no return to that favor expected. I say no too much sometimes :/

Did you know that I wish I had the motivation to play instruments? I always feel weird when I'm around people and I feel too shy to ever try and do something productive for myself. Living in a house with other people makes me not want to ever do anything...

I played piano for a few years, never got good at it though. I quit after a while cause I was tired of it. The songs and stuff I had to play was so mundane and ridiculous... I was learning with kids books when I was like 13-14. Made me so un-motivated to play.
Then I took guitar lessons for a few months, but the teacher was terrible. I couldn't learn anything useful from that guy...
I basically just gave up after that. Another problem is that I rarely practiced because I felt embarrassed to suck at it around my brother and parents. I had an 11 year age difference between me and my youngest older brother, 14 with my other brother and 17 with my sister. Growing up around them always felt like I had to live up to what they did even though I had such a big age gap. It was so intimidating as a child...
