Oh. No, you don't suggest songs in here; you'd do that in the songs/permissions subboard.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Is it just me, or is Ivaltek way understepped? As in nearly every 16th triplet sounds more like a 32nd roll to me or at least faster than 16ths

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
yes ivaltek has LOADS of 32nds but that would make it unbalanced in terms of difficulty. I wanted it to be about VD/C level overall
you don't have to step every brrt, bzz and rrr you know

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
true, and I like that you kept the difficulty like that, but wouldn't the difficulty still be consistent if it had 32nds every 8 notes anyways? Just sayin', still looks like a great file though

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Just a question about the news simfiles...Its me, or they are really harder than it was? Now, in almost every news files they are jacks. Why? Its the new fashion? lol. Also, I saw lots of FMO who are LOTS harder then the old FMO.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
In general, files are becoming more difficult even within individual difficulties. The 8-level songs in the past are a bit easier than 8-level songs now, probably because most people have a bit more skill than they did in the past. We try to even things out though, so some songs that are too difficult or too easy for a particular difficulty will get bumped up or down a level. Finally, there are more jacks now because the average-miss bug that was prominent only a few years ago is now fixed, and files of greater diversity are allowed now.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
we're using jacks now because they've been taboo for so long. they're not as hard as you think

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
A few artist inaccuracies (not sure where to put these):
- CIA Rave lists the artist as DJ Acsent, but v2 lists the artist as DJ Ascent. Which is correct? - Leeroy Jenkins and 300 This is Sparta are by teh same artist but one has a ! and the other doesn't. - Seed and ROAR are by Dr 1010 but there are five other songs that list him as Dr1010. - Silence v2's artist is FF Music DJ but Silence's artist is FFMusicDJ. - There are also a bunch of artists who have capitalization inconsistencies; I could list them if anyone cares. For instance sun3 vs SUN3, DJ KANKAOH vs DJ Kankaoh, stargroup100 vs Stargroup100, etc.

Files queue'd on 12/1/08 (2)
Starwolf - Silvuh - I feel like this is overlayered throughout, but if jx/blu are ok w/ it, then so be it. someone explain to me how it is possible for starwolf to have an incorrect bpm
