fyi... if you check ffrcade.com, i maxed this game. took beating it 80-90 times, IIRC, to get the 2.1 billion points. clearly i won't be doing that again, but i can easily get it 10-20 times, at least.

never beaten it on hard... what's the difference? aka, what do we need a SS of?

The interesting part about this round is that, for the most part, people can always go higher and higher and higher until that maximum.

Clarified the screenshot stuff. The stat screen after a Game Over is what you should SS.

i consider myself to be pretty damn good at this game.... i've beaten it 100+ times without losing a life on easy....

yet this was an absolute bitch to do:

Hold on, so we can get any score using any amount of items/bombs on any difficulty?

Yep yep.

However, you get more points for playing Hard Mode, and not using bombs also gives you points. Furthermore, the bonus at the end of the game increases the more you beat it.

Remember every round is always open, so if you manage to improve something, the offers are always out there

yea, I played this game earlier too :P

however, I was unable to loose 17 lives without gaining a single point (you deal dmg to enemies when you explode) so the 2 scores differ a little.

That is fine -- the score's supposed to be higher by a bit, it's just a way to show it was done in one run

I'm sure EVERYONE knows this by now but here's a tip.
Red: Blows everything the hell up
Blue: Strongest weapon but very straightforward
Purple: Continuous stream of points

I like the purple electric weapon cause it kinda homes on everything and connects them. It's the pwnage weapon. you all know you like it...

yup, purple = win. and it's even better with the non-guided rockets to kill bosses and stronger enemies. just hold down fire and concentrate on avoiding bullets

I used to prefer purple... now I use red... but is purple really better? I guess yeah, I would be easier to avoid enemy fire... yeah, I'll try that...
