This is driving me nuts. I can't get a half-decent time with an online cube, it's just impossible. I need to have it in my hands.

Alright got a slightly sub-3 minute online solve. Horrible horrible horrible, I can't use the more complex algs because I only really know them in my hand muscle memory and I can't really extrapolate it to a virtual cube. Uploading it anyway.

I'm just not gonna even try. This is just too much. I'd kill myself before I figured it out.

Are there other challenges besides Mental/Speed/Skill rounds? (not that I can think of any).

Suggestion: A Maze-like game would be fun to play. Something like the classic Lolo game on NES where you had to push blocks in the right spots and shoot certain ennemies or bricks to make your way out of the maze, pretty fun.

I am considering bumping up the number of rounds just to make it more interesting. Anyone opposed to this?

This tournament is so fun. It could go for a year and I would still be in it. It even takes priority over the official one.

Well I mean I can make it as long as people are willing to play it

Edit: Just to let people know I am probably going to start evaluating scores by rank, setting the top score at some amount depending on relative difficulty and then decreasing each score by like 3-5% or something like that to get a more prudent range. (even when I do this to the old scores, it doesn't change the order much, just changes the variation a bit).

? you just have 5 what? 5 left?

Ok, the times can be written in a different manner.

Each time can be written another way. But only half of it should be rewritten as more than just its number. They should still be numbers... just make one of the numbers in each time a different form.

Some hintexamples: 12:04 would be L
1:01 would be O

Heck yeah! As long as the mental challenges weren't as tough as this one (so I don't have to be on IM for all of the weekend )

This is one of the best tournaments I've done on this site. Keep it going for a while, but not too long. Unless those credits start gaining interest.

oho yeah plus I agree with everyone else saying this tournament should keep going on

Or you could just end it at the set number of rounds, maybe a few more, and then do another one in a bit. that would work too

EDIT: also RUbix, I don't have a rubix cube, so I will have to borrow a friend's but...will I still get the 500 pt. bonus if I submit the vid later tomorrow, like maybe 9:00?

EDIT2: A.M.

Yeah next round doesn't start till tomorrow morning. Go ahead and send the video whenever.

Also, if you have the correct answer, go say hi! You'll know what to do then.

I apologize for the time delays -- I have four midterms this week -- each of these midterms are easily 3x more difficult than these riddle rounds, lol.

Anyways I will prob make this 15 rounds. I'll rearrange the point system so it's more competitive. This way it's only by rank, so things will equalize out regardless of how soon/late one gets here. Of course this is a disadvantage for time rounds -- be sure to get here on time.
