That wouldn't make any sense at all. V sync on = lagg, V sync off = no lagg.

if i turn v sync off i get around 400-500 fps and its extremely easy for me to get many perfects (sound familiar?). Im just curious as to whether or not he actually needed a new computer at all

you mean more of your marvelouses become perfs? seriously man everyone is doing like a million times better without v sync when they're used to it. play with it off for a day or two and you'll notice your MA jumping incredibly.

lol that makes me hope so too, but seriously it's the same for everyone. They turn their V sync off and go nuts like WTFAREYOUTALKINGABOUTIGET100PERFS, and then they get used to it and actually realize that this is a game about pressing arrows to the music and not mashing em when the arrows are at the top. You could do a little test to see if you have any lagg, pick a song that you know is properly synced (your hishoku probably is), turn on C400, LITTLE, HIDDEN, BLIND and listen 100% to the beat and press the arrows to it, then after like 100 arrows press F5 and see if you did good ;>

I hope mine is on, so I might have a reason why I suck

EDIT: I don't see anything about that in the settings =\. Maybe 3.9 rc3 is too old ?

It's at the bottom of graphics options, now this topic needs to stop going OT. I want to see nuclears laggtest with v sync on and with it off, if he can hit arrows to the beat lol XD.

well it has to do with the refresh rate on your monitor, i guess it doesn't make a difference in all cases

my monitor is CRT but i play in windowed mode 800x600

and after the little blind hidden test thing v sync on came out victorious

I played with vsync on with both comps so ya (frame rate is slower by lots on this comp tho)
