My friend was bragging about him being super good at FFR, I was just ignoring him, then got fed up and asked him to do a wager. 30 bucks says I can get better than him in 10 days. Lol and how easy was that. So I'm only playin 'cause of a bet.

You thought I was a GUY?!

Back when you were all in diapers....
No, but really, 4+ years ago, I saw someone playing the game in a HS computer class. That was my senior year. |

*has Cenright beat in terms of age and length on site
*I've posted this at least half a dozen times in various threads similar to this one over the years, but people seem to enjoy it, so I'll post it again... I first found out about FFR around Jan or Feb 03 (aka 1st style, within months of the site forming). I was pre-gaming in some kids dorm room (freshman year of college), and some girl was playing Terror From Beyond and not failing miserably [you have to remember that the current timing window is different than it was then... back then, perfects were 1 frame]. I thought she was a dork and that DDR was stupid and I just wanted to take a few shots before hitting the bars. I was bored waiting, so I decided to try it anyway... and promptly failed Mario after about 30 notes (I blame the timing window!). After that, I forgot about FFR for the most part... then went to Israel for a few weeks and met Whorli. She was into DDR, so of course I needed to impress her and show interest in stuff she liked. I decided that DDR was still for fags, but I recalled FFR and decided to give it a try again. That was July of 2003. Rest is history, pretty much. I won't bore you with my rise from "I got a AAA on Mario and am not rank #1" initial thread to where I am today. I'll save that for the next session of Story Time With Tass... or you could be a good sleuth and find some past post of mine where I already told the story.

I was linked to it by a friend back in 04, played it for a few months and forgot about it until this one song I got from this site brought me back. I'm seriously surprised more people don't out rank me considering I'm now ranked within the top 90,000 for not having been on the site for over 3 years.

Kinda a long story but I'll try to keep it short.
A long time ago, there was nothing in a little town outside of P'cola, Florida. I mean nothing at all but a few stores and a Subways. It was pretty bare and there wasnt much to do. One day a Bowling Ally opened down the street to my house (My family has lived there for 100+ years, this was the first thing to happen that made anyone of us want to get out the door) While there with some friends, I tried out a game called DDR Extreme. after a few rounds I decided that I was just going to be the best at this "new" game. I was already the best Tekken player, and I could either kill or hold my own in any other game, so I was going to take this as well. So that was about 3 years ago....maybe four. I kept playing about once a week and couldnt become the best. a year ago it was clear I needed some help. I needed something to play at home. A good friend (DDRBean, for those of you that know him from DDRecall) said that Stepmania was a fun program that you could add any song into. A free DDR that you added your songs in? I had to get this, and I ended up with a copy of it and about 100sims of a friends choice . I needed more, I had to have more in order to be the best, so I started checking SM.com's links, tired of the links that had at max 3 sims, I looked and saw "FlashFlashRevolution has added 250 sims"Unbeknown to me, that site was going through a huge uploading spree (Synth said later that the user broke the record twice IIRC) and Iwouldnt really care. omg dude 200? I had to get me some. I was very happy that I didnt have to make a account to get them, also. a month later, I decided to make one, it didnt require a email so I though it'll be safe =). Using a name giving in mockery by a friend (The same one who gave me SM, but not Bean) I became a member in 2006 To be continued |

I played on this site as a guest for about 4 months before I actually thought about joining. And here I am 1 year later and now I'm a subscriber. This place is a drug that you can't stop.

I don't have a clue how I found this game. It was some time in April I guess. I probably really wanted to play DDR online, and found this.
No regrets :P
