How would you rate your life? - Page 4

hei, if onestly, my life is not that bad, but there are to many things to change. I voted 6 because a part of the changes are about myself. I have been working on this for the last year and I have great results. if working like this in a few months I`ll be able to vote 7 or 8.

I know one thing for sure: no matter how satisfied about your life you are, there is always smth you want to change!

I hope to be able one day to say that the only thing I want to change are my shoes!

PS: My girlfriend is bipolar and depressive. She was on medication for a lil while but it had some bad side-effects. Funny thing is, the only time she's been on meds is when I haven't been with her. I'm used to her weird moodswings and I think I do pretty well to keep her calmed down and happy most of the time. =)

Anyway, i'd rate mine about a seven. I mean, I have everything i need to live, and im pretty well off compared to some people I know, but theres still stuff I wish I had. Not so much material stuff, but rather more important stuff..

I made a few mistakes in 7th grade, nothing that will stay with me, but I would like to change that.
I haven't ruined my life, I'm, on a good track with school, I have friends that really are my friends, and I have freedom to do what I want to most of the time.

I just wish I had more money a lot of the time.

With a little bit more work ethic I would be a 10. I'm looking forward to college and planning on being a doctor, as long as I can buckle down the same way I did last semester I should have no problem with med school. I am my favorite person, I am genetically predisposed to be happy, I am confident in my intelligence, my parents have enough money to ensure that I will be able to get through at least 4 years of my college without needing loans at whatever school I choose, I have great business sense and I enjoy learning. To top it off I'm pretty much happy all the time.

9.5 even, but in life nothing rounds up.

this will pass. my boyfriend almost killed himself when he was your age. he almost got hit by a car with 120 km/h. now he`s happy. he even thinks about a movie about all the sheet he felt and how it transformed in happiness.

I would say mine is probably a 4. I literally do nothing all day, and the friends i do have live at least 20-30 minutes car drive away because i moved about a year ago and haven't picked up many friends at my new school. Now that i am finnished high school it's either going to get really bad, or stay the same since university starts in september.

Making fun of people who actually do/try to kill themselves is not funny. Ridiculing somebody who wants to die is just ****ed up, I don't care who you are. If that kid went and killed himself after you guys were assholes, how would you feel? You people are horrible. Just because it's the internet doesn't mean these aren't still REAL PEOPLE with REAL FEELINGS.

All you 1-3 people: Life gets better. Whether or not your life sucks is very subjective. 2 people in the exact same situation could see it completely differently. My little sister acts like her life is so terrible, but she gets away with more than I ever did and has a fine life. She acts all depressed now, but when I was in her shoes I was perfectly happy. It's just a matter of focusing on the good or bad things in life. There are plenty of negative things in my life that I could focus on, but I choose not to because I know it won't do anything but upset me.

So really, if you think your life is bad, focus on the good things. Even if you can't see any good things in your life right now, think of the good things to come. Find something that makes you happy or will make you happy and focus on that. Death is a big unknown, and you can't very well control what happens afterwards. You can plan out and shape your life, though, so why not? You don't have to be miserable if you don't want to. Focus on good things, and if there aren't any/many good things, MAKE some.

I mean really, it's not that the people who voted 9 or 10 have perfect lives, it's that they ignore the small imperfections and are happy. You could have a smart, rich kid with good parents and friends that is a brat and focuses only on the material goods they don't have and they may rate their life lower. On the other hand, you could have a poor person who is happy all the time just because they're still alive. It's all how you look at things.

So quit looking at things like they're so bad, and cheer up, dammit. =D

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O
