I teach high school math. I do it because I love working with lil teenage boogers and I literally can't see myself doing anything else. You haven't lived until you've taught 17 year old calculus students the concept of related rates using an example of a Charizard flamethrower chasing down an Agility-ing Scyther.
graphic design grad since last year.
literally the only skill/field I excel in and enjoy.
work as a freelance designer at a small design firm.
freelance because I like having super flexible work hours and the option of working from home when I can't make it to the office.
full-time opportunity in the future.
juggle a part-time job as well.
benefits and coverage that I use.
extra source of income.
seniority.
considering getting a second design job that isn't freelance as of now.
job security and stable source of income.
connections, experience, and expanding dat portfolio.
I'm a programmer (or Software Engineer if you want to be more...correct? I dunno). Mainly in the line of vidja games and all things C++.
Surprisingly enough I didn't decide to get into programming until a few months before high-school graduation due to a friend of mine showing me a brochure for some tech college up in Phoenix, AZ (used to live in Tucson). So I had zero experience going into college, but I just kinda fell into it and got super good at it.
As for the why, I just enjoy it, 'nuff said; especially graphics programming (mainly DirectX since it's the API I know the most about). It feels good to spend a ton of time working on a graphical effect and then getting to see the results. It's especially fun to play around with it and see all the weird random shit that happens just by tweaking a few numbers. Shaders are fun times
