I still don't like the idea of my cdtitle being modified. Do what you will with the pack but I may not submit if thats one of the stipulations.

Well there goes the final blow to my idea. Pretty sure my idea won't happen in that case. Lack of file submissions is the last thing we need. I won't hesitate to say that was a finicky move though.

Yeah I don't mean to sound too abrasive, and I mean I'm still kind of a nobody when it comes to making simfiles, but yeah, I consider my cdtitle my brand on my files and put a lot of careful consideration into making it :/

Well if this was a really large-scale pack where file submissions weren't really much of a concern, then no one would probably care if you left. But you know, a lot of packs have trouble mustering up a good number of files, or even have trouble coming to completion at all. We don't want to be exclusive (or at least I don't think cedo or anyone would want to).

Maybe put the year in the banner on a corner to be least intrusive as possible. The year within a little box on the corner. Some themes might cover up the edges of banners though.

@Wafles: I guess I don't understand your hesitation with the CDtitle. It's not like it is being seriously modified. No one here is trying to run you out of ownership to a file, at least not intentionally.

Secondly, if your main problem is not being recognized enough for the files you step, I think it's a simple matter of making and submitting more files. Acknowledgement as a stepartist comes over time and quantity moreso than branding and quality.

Just as a personal example, I've stepped a few files and I have been around for a long time, but I don't submit nearly enough to be well-known (or known at all) in the community as a stepartist.

@Wineandbread: Yeah I understand that I'm being finnicky about it. This is just my personal preference, partly because that information doesn't really belong in the cdtitle in the first place, and partly because I'm afraid that moving, resizing, or modifying my cdtitle might make it not look as good, and I did spend a fair amount of time making it (probably too much for what it is >.>). It doesn't really have anything to do with long term recognition, frankly I don't care much about that.

@blind: No reason to be rude I'm trying to explain my stance in a reasonable manner

I wouldn't care that much in general and probably wouldn't have said anything but I already started my file and spent 3-4 hours on it already :/

Okay so the entire thing with years I feel like we've discussed to it a pulp. I'll decide what's best for it, and at this point, I'm thinking of putting it on the banner. Honestly the idea behind the year is such a small point to the pack, and I really don't know why we spent two pages discussing it. I'm happy you guys gave me some input, but I think we should avert the attention back to step files

So how are everyone's files coming along? I finished a huge chunk of syncing for Fission's and mine Frankenstein file, this thing is gonna be the beastt.

Also I think for a banner it would be cool to montage a picture of all the artists in the pack together.

Although it does mean you wouldn't get it until the pack finished
