I know it's been addressed already, but I can't shake it off, so I'll rant.
I know there is not gonna be a 7th division for whatever reasons, but really, it kinda saddens me. And knowing that many more elite players that didnt take part in the 6th official are gonna be there (xxopkillerxx, zyph, eze, staiain apparently, sakish, dynam0, etc)... Its just even worse.
There are at the very least 10 people in d6 who dont consider FGOs to be a big deal anymore and are falling into the FSO realm (old system for comparison, sorry) as far as AAAs... when D6 is also filled with people who cant get a single FGO AAA.
D5 is FMO comfort territory, as it was announced in the 6th official, and D6's requirements were to be pretty close to a FGO AAA, or to physically own one. But past that... Now that requirement could apply to FSOs for a growing number of players, as "lots" of people can get clean/low sdgs on various 13s such as Rave7.
And knowing the experience and dedication (not to mention the physical ability) it takes to AAA Gurus... There is no way someone could simply skill boost like that.
And besides, it also means that the skill gap between low d6 and too d6 is bigger than the gap between high d4 and low d6, in terms of difficulties.
Low d6 cant get any FGO AAA, meaning their best AAAs are FMOs. Top of D6 have (or can have, keeping in mind there is an extremely limited number of playable low 13, as in like 4) a lvl 13 AAA. So it's 11-13 as best AAAs.
Most of d4 don't have a FMO AAA, but have some very low SDGs. Same with low D6, but with low FGOs.
And they're 2 divisions apart despite a larger skillgap.
Not to mention, the skill difference being at a lower level makes the skill difference even more significant. Songs being easier imply that they are more possible to overcome than higher levelled skill gaps.
In fact, Ive never seen someone who barely AAA'd Lolo thinking he can AAA Rave7 on a Lucky run after less than two months. Never happened. But people sur went d4 to low d6 in that time frame.
So Yeah. I love to watch competition between the divisions. And it feels bad that the too one is so unfair to okay within. Honestly. And I'm not even part of it.
Im not really blaming anyone for the decision of not having 7 divisions, or at the very least, respreading the division so that the skill repartitions are more consistent.. However, it felt really good to whine about the subject on here.
The official tournament is amazing. But this is my opinion on how to make it better.
and well, hateandhatred, the prize allocations can make up for that - not just by rewarding skill level itself, but by accounting for the diversity and tendency to plateau in the higher divisions.
^ I kind of have to agree, the bottom players in D6 along with the top players have HUGE gaps in skills and capabilities. It honestly sucks Because people like Dossar, OWA, Samurai, Halogen, and a few others are far ahead skill wise than the others that will be put in D6. But I guess that's just how it has to be.
But on the other side I am giving out prizes to Top 16 for EVERY division (yes holy cow i'm going to be sending out 96 packages), so even if you don't place in your top 3 You can still win a nice prize from myself. You will be getting a package from me that could possibly include the following items contained in them:
Of course the higher placings will get more items, but everyone through the top 16 will atleast get something for getting that far. I mean beating 90+ other players in your division is worthy of a prize in my opinion. Is it not? Considering there are 700 players entering. That's amazingly good.
You're giving those awesome things to top 16? :333 Ughhh, really have to see if I can play well on my parents' computer now, just to try for top 16 at least.
^^ Yes every single person who earns their way to top 16 of every division will get a nice package from colt. I love making gift bags so this will be a fun project for me!
After the results are made I plan on sending 16 packages a week ( 1 Division a week) for 6 weeks though (sorry I cannot send 96 in one week xD) (Not sure if I should start with Division 1 first or Division 6 either). I'm sure some people might not even claim their prize or get back to me so I'll see how that goes.
I will most likely ask each Top 16 winners to give me 20 Pokemon they love, to see what I can provide to their liking, but other than that the items you will receiving from me will be at random character most likely.

It's not anything Pony related lol. It's something I think a lot of people will actually like ^^ It's sort of something they can remember the tournament by. But it goes deeper than that.
I COULD on request provide pony items.. Depends on how expensive stuff is and if there are others.
But to be very honest I am not a huge fan of the show and would prefer to stay away from it. Applejack is pretty cute, but I think majority of FFR would prefer Pokemon/Anime/Nintendo over Ponies. haha.
EDIT: Went on Ebay and I'm seeing that a lot of 12 MLP figures are $20-30 USD >_> So expensive. I can get over 160 Pokemon figures for under $40. I honestly don't think I can afford that to be honest. I'm already putting forth close to $200+ for the secret item I'm putting in everyone's bag alone.
