Re: Songs of the Week (December 2, 2012)
Here's what we'll do. We'll create another judgment team of 12 or so users that dislike the 12 main genres of Fiffer the most. Every song submitted will go through them. They'll all listen to the song, and if one of them doesn't like it, the song and stepchart will automatically be rejected. Having any one user miraculously enjoy a song belonging to a genre he or she typically dislikes means that the song passes the min. 'likeable' threshold necessary to be probable in appealing to the masses. Then again, any other one judge could dislike the song for whatever reason and negate that entirely.
Sound good? |

I have a couple of target-less arguments that I want to shoot up into the sky as well. Who completely unwraps string cheese before taking the first bite? We should have 12 judges that rate the unwrapping process... Wait, I should pick a topic related to FFR. Who tries to get all averages when playing a song? We should have 12 judges that rate the average obtaining process...

I'll take pony songs over the hardcore death metal songs in FFR any day.

Re: Songs of the Week (December 2, 2012)
OWA gave an argument in the attempt to support the songs accepted into FFR.
His argument was aimed at no one according to ~Zeta~, sug.gesting that I'm thinking too far into what's being said. I explained how OWA should have a target. If he doesn't, then his posts are pointless. Also, u.gg is blocked. I can't say s***esting without *s. It even blocks that letter combination from URLs. Whoops, left for a bit and came back to another 2 pages of stuff.
I'll admit my argument was flawed, and many other people have brought up valid points that I agree with. Sorry if I've offended anyone in any way. |

Re: Songs of the Week (December 2, 2012)
My argument targets anyone who is complaining about songs being added in game that aren't enjoyed by a certain group of people or demographic and wants something to be done about it.
I have no idea why you have a stick up your butt right now, dragon. edit: also if for some crazy reason you didn't realize I was being ridiculously sarcastic in my previous post, that scares me.. edit2: oh god, I just read your post before this, you thought I was being serious Last edited by One Winged Angel; 12-2-2012 at 06:09 PM.. |

Concerning the issue with the u and two gs, it might have to do with bot spammers.
What concerns me more is about how easier files are in great lacking and there has been a large influx of harder files. |

Re: Songs of the Week (December 2, 2012)
Rofl... you guys are completely blowing my comment/opinion out of proportions. All I said was that I cannot enjoy FFR nowadays because of the recent song choices. It's my problem and I'm dealing with it. I never said anything about songs not being allowed in the engine. .-.
Please read carefully. |

However, I felt like that argument had to be challenged. I get the feeling that a good number of FFR users latch onto that argument, throwing it at anyone who appears to be opposing what they enjoy. I believe that response is completely wrong. Telling people to ignore an aspect of a game, one where they are just as much a part of as you, isolates them. For example; comparing FFR to an after school MLP club. You can ignore that club, you don't have to go. You can ignore FFR, you don't have to play. That might not be your goal, but that's the way some people see it. You can't throw away the fact that stats and other gameplay aspects do depend on the pony songs. You can't justify it by saying 'you should just play for fun' just because some people don't enjoy getting stats. That very feature is what made FFR as big as it is today. It's better to tell people to tolerate it, or deal with it as others put it. That's pretty much all I wanted to say. :3
