exclusive as in no one, or very little people (let's say.. less than 30 people on this site due to low population) have. Which was Freedom Dive. Anyway it's not my place to bitch in this thread. don't create a thread about this, it's not up for discussions whether my bitching is actually allowed, or if I am being unreasonable. |

Re: Gamewhore Competition
Can the community vote to have that token removed? (Or, can staff just remove it?)

Re: Gamewhore Competition
As far as I know it's supposed to be removed, but I'm not sure if there was a final decision on it.

Re: Gamewhore Competition
Why would you be against event tokens ?_? Gives us a little more variety of tokens to give out for events considering a lot of people have obtained these already.

Re: Gamewhore Competition
I do want to try to work in some more prizes for this being that it's a pretty intensive event, I'm just trying to figure out what.

Re: Gamewhore Competition
I kinda feel like we have enough event tokens already. Having more just makes it even more unreasonable to try to unlock all of them. Maybe people who have them all could just be given credits instead - you could work out a reasonable exchange rate, like 50k replacing each token prize.

Re: Gamewhore Competition
Maybe not to you or a couple dozen older players, sure, but credits are still a serious prize for 99% of the active member population, which is probably why tournaments still give them out. And IMO events should be targeting the people who don't hang out as much (as opposed to the users who play or talk about FFR all the time and already have everything) to get them more into the community.
Absolutely! It's great to have opportunities for people to obtain tokens. I just don't want it to get to the point where you'd have to be one of the few most talented users who can win events one after the other in order to get all the event tokens.

Also, events should really take both levels of players into consideration. Obviously getting newer players more involved into the community is great, but you cannot forget that FFR should also continue to peak the interests of the players who've done almost everything. Just as we want to gain new frequent members in our community, we don't want to lose members we already have if we can help it. Running events of many different types and skill sets (where some are more involved with the FFR engine than others) will prove to keep hopefully everyone invested. It's also the reason why more event tokens were suggested, so that there is more incentive for those who have unlocked everything to keep going. The way it is now, a person can get all the event tokens usually by pulling a single first place, or placing really well in a tournament. Of course not everyone can do that, but they can also build them up over time by participating in several events and placing. They are merely trophies and rewards for doing good in an event, so why not have a few more of them.
