Re: TWG Penalty Thread
If you guys impose a rule that prevents players from joining a second game while a parallel one is in progress, you probably only have to wait the length of just under 7 games (including sign-ups in between games taking roughly 2-3 days). Alternatively, just create a continued linearly increasing infraction where it gets to the point that you might as well just be removed permanently.

Re: TWG Penalty Thread
I'd like to add J-rodd to the list for berating a TWG player outside of the game.
I love playing with him and he's good at TWG, but that's unacceptable treatment of a fellow player.

I will add Jrodd to the list as well. The question is, would be a 1 or 2 infraction case, since this isn't defined.

Re: TWG Penalty Thread
IMO for all cases forward it's a level 2 infracion.
In this case since this thread had no rules and we're making things up as we go along essentially lets do a 1.5 level infraction game ban and 1 game replacement req.

Re: TWG Penalty Thread
I will admit, when I jumped the gun in this sub forum, I actually took things in my first game mega personal. It wasn't easy migrating the thought process that everyone is using a facade of sorts to get information.

Here's a question, Do you want me to be in control of this, or would you like to do it more universally with input from other players?

I think that needs to be stated to all newbies, no matter what. They NEED to know that it's just a game. I feel as though it should maintained and managed by you (and me?) but a heavy influence by each game host, and how some cases are situational, they should be handed from a case by case standpoint. Like we get the last say but they provide input of what they saw.

I would like to be put up for the same level of infraction for Jrodd, can't help but feel guilty in this case.

Re: TWG Penalty Thread
If you're feeling guilty due to the reaction, well... that's what you were trying to do anyways, right?
I mean, you were only playing the game as was intended, dohoho. |

Re: TWG Penalty Thread
@Xiz I'm thinking something simlar.
I think the host of the game and the players in the game should come to a consensus on the player in question in the postgame. If they decide that player negatively impacted the game, they post the player's name and reason for the infraction here and we handle it accordingly. @Cedo: J-rodd is being punished for his out of game antics in this thread. Your antics were in-game. hey were harsh, but they were within the boundarys of the game. If you want the same treatment anyway just say so, but I do see a differentiation.

Dude if we did that we wouldn't have any players left for TWG. You did nothing wrong. Jrodd was on a completely different level than you

Re: TWG Penalty Thread
I forced a player into replacement, that's something. Plus anyway regardless if I'm on the list or not, I'm still going to follow through with it. I just wanted it to be public just so hosts know.

Re: TWG Penalty Thread
Well if ya really want to. You did nothing wrong though is all I'm gonna say!
Also, I wouldn't say you forced. More like I think you attacked something that just triggered absolute anger. Not saying you were wanting to make the player in question angry, but I doubt when you made that post you had the mindset of "Man... I'm gonna make this player REGRET playing this game and make them hate it!" |

Re: TWG Penalty Thread
I had a really aggressive play that day.... so I must admit, it was sort of my intention. Which is why as soon as everything happened I immediately went to Kayla and apologized.

Re: TWG Penalty Thread
also cedo: you didn't do anything wrong -- within the context of the thread is one thing, but when the game is over, people need to realize when to stop.
context is important though; there are instances where you need to stop beating a dead horse -- in this case, j-rodd kept being rude about the situation when she was long out of the game in the first place. |

Re: TWG Penalty Thread
before j-rodds ban, the last ban issued/modkill given as a result of flaming a player was in XXV, and I believe it was for aperson spamming some very naughty words in all of his posts and shit like that, if my memory serves me right. I don't think j-rodd's behavior is acceptable, and I support the ban, but I guess the question I have is "Are we going to start banning people for being aggressive?" I don't think cedo should really even be considered, and I'm glad I'm not the only one. There's a fine line between playing the game aggressively, and actually flaming someone, and I really hope that the standard that has stood for a good while now stands.

Re: TWG Penalty Thread
No, being aggressive within the game is perfectly okay. Just so long you don't put personal stuff that has nothing to do with the game in your prods/attacks.
Calling someone bad or "it's like you didn't even read" or "Your reads are god damn awful" I think is fine. "It's a good thing you're not smart, because you're not being smart right now." <----I guess that's sort of borderline depending on context, dohoho. |

I'm the only who has considered me for a ban... welp.
