Even if batch is closed, can I send files in now and they'll get put in the next up and coming batch?

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Actually I believe JX and bmah said they don't want new submissions being sent until the batch is reopened again. But resubmissions can be sent in anytime.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
I'm bored. BRB finishing my notes.
Also, i think that the deadline shouldn't be set for so long because some of the judges won't even touch the files until the deadline date starts to get close. I think setting it to at most two weeks should be good enough rather then setting it to nearly a month.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Yeah, you'd get notes a lot faster if it was set for two weeks (with anyone who can't finish in time being hurried along or replaced with a backup).

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Set date is pretty much to control the rate of files available and released, I'm fairly sure.
This used to be the case, but now submissions are only accepted when there's an actual opening date. Last edited by bmah; 01-22-2011 at 05:43 PM.. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
2 weeks is a bit tights. 2.5 or 3 weeks would be good though

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
I started working on notes the day I got the files but got distracted with some other stuff. Trying to finish up but for some reason sm is lagging like hell on my comp. But I'll probably be finished later tonight or tomorrow if I can get this thing running right.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
I don't see any merit in releasing files everyday constantly, just difficult to keep doing.
It only works for event time. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Also from this time, files submitted when the batch is closed will be ignored (except for the fixes of queue'd files).

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Why, though? If we can get 10 solid, good files every week, what's wrong with releasing them at that rate? You could do 5 on monday and 5 on friday, or 2 every weekday, or something like that. I don't think the more serious players would mind. And if uploading is too much of a hassle have someone code an easier uploader.
